I have no gripes with ATWT hiring ABC stars. I have a HUGE problem with them recasting the talented actor, Scott Holroyd who played the important role Paul perfectly in favor of mediocre Roger Howarth.

I loved Scott Holroyd. I watched a little (his scenes) when he was on, though at times I had a hard time distinguishing Paul Ryan from Chris Hughes. OTOH, it stuns me every time I put more than a moment's thought into it that Roger Howarth finds work as an actor.

Paul was destroyed to turn him into Todd-lite.

^^^I disagree completely re: Katie & Henry. That little bitch deserves to have Henry hand her her head. This all started because Katie threw a snit fit about Henry's affair with Barbara, which was none of her damned business. Katie called V back to town, lying about Henry donating his inheritance to the hospital, and convincing V Henry wanted her back. V's lies are on her---but Katie also "forgot" to tell V Henry and Babs had been an item and were still "running into each other" behind V's back. (Actually, Henry, V, Babs and Casey should all get to take turns calling her out and smacking her upside the head. Casey is her nephew, and named for her father FCOL, and she still let V continue with this farce.)

Henry reclaiming his balls from Katie is a GOOD thing. And I'll die happy if Henry refuses to speak to the bitch for the next 2 months while Katie begs for his forgiveness. Katie is more a "user" than Henry's "friend". It's time he got to rub her nose in something.

Absolutely, but she still could have her ass handed to her if Barbara got out of that room and initiated the cycle. Either way it goes, Katie is not going to get off so easy. I feel like after months of this insanity, I want some public humiliation dammit! Meh, soaps just won't get back to the 90s way of revealing things.

But I tell you what, I'm still gonna have my popcorn good and ready next week when Katie gets it. Bobblehead is DONE!

The cliffhanger on Friday was ok. I didn't expect Katie to finally tell Henry. I expected a different senario. I didn't think Barbara would be the one to tell him but I thought we would get a more dramatic revelation.

LOL...oh, I've got my popcorn on standby too. I guess my point was that while Babs giving her a swirly would be good, the betrayal is significant between the two "friends". If this were ten years ago, everyone would have a chance to call out Katie. But if ONLY one person can do it, I understand why Henry gets to. Babs already got some chances to tell the little snot off.

And AllMyShadows, I don't understand why you would deny Henry some righteous anger. Just because he's done wrong in the past, doesn't mean anyone who hurts him gets an automatic pass. Katie's known for weeks that Vienna was lying. She knew V cheated on him with Casey. She colluded with Vienna to dupe him. In the past when Henry's upset Katie, she regularly went off on him for betraying her. Even ball-less wonders deserve better treatment from a FRIEND.

It is actually horrible what they have done to Vienna to facilitate this Henry/Barbara whatever. Vienna was a wonderful loving woman. She is unrecognizable and her actions make absolutely no sense. For her and Barbara to be sacrificed at the feet of gay Henry is ulcer inducing. It is lazy and lacks creativity which is to be expected from Passanante and Goutman.

Considering Katie's been closely related to them for years now and that this is a soap, it made perfect sense for her to put her nose into it. That's what Katie does. Honestly, she should have told Vienna about Henry and Barbara as soon as there was something to tell.

Ok so yeah--Katie ends up telling Henry about the non-baby? What an awful climax to this story. I thought for sure Barbara would get out of that room and spill the beans in front of everybody at some point, which would have been much more juicy. Geez, even at the END these writers can't plan a proper comeuppance.

Anyway, I'm sad to see my favorite soap end, but I'm with the consensus that the show really died long ago. Main reason why I left SON the first time around.

I agree with all of you. I can't believe that the show is ending with the Ciccone women front burner. Worst characters on the show IMO. The only good thing that came out of Janet is that I finally started to become a Carly fan. She was never one of my favorites until then. Now I'm on the MW bandwagon with most of you.

I enjoyed today's show. I know I liked it because the hour flew by before I knew it. Trent Dawson was a mixed bag today. At times he nailed his scenes and sometimes he was too passive.
