Marc Copage , who as a child played Diahann Carroll's son in Julia, auditioned for the role of Bobby on One Life to Live that went to Blair Underwood.

I just saw him in the current CNN docuseries about sitcoms. I can see him on a soap.

Don Jeffcoat in his Locher-room interview says it was between him & Tyler Christopher for the role of Nikolas Cassadine on GH in 1996. TC got the gig of course.

think I could see this... but I do believe the character of Nikolas would've taken a much different venture had Jeffcoat been in the role.

Yes and I think Nikolas would have been like Kevin & Joey at OLTL. I mean by that the role would most likely be recast numerous times

Yeah...he didn't have the brooding, Gothic bent that Tyler had/has.

I just don't think he hit the Cassadine bill.

Carson Boatman (Johnny Dimera, DOOL) also auditioned for Charlie Dale that Mike Manning played and got to the screentest for Tripp Dalton. Lucas Adams got the role

From Joan Collins' recent goodbye to Michael Nader, she revealed that John-Erik Hexum tested as Dex.

Whoa! I have always wondered why Jon-Erik Hexum never got a continuing gig on a Spelling show.

On State of Mind with Maurice Bernard, Elizabeth Hendrickson states that she got the GH role after a deal on another soap fell thru.

I wonder if it was Sarah Horton on DOOL. The dates match up. EH began taping at GH in May 2018 and So did Linsey Godfrey at Days as Sarah

Likely, she was known to audition for the role as did Emily O'Brien (later Gwen).

Yeah, but he did do that cheesetastic movie with Joan Collins, Making Of A Male Model (I think that was the title!), back in 1983.

True, but it wasn't a series.

Not soaps, but he did have the NBC series, Voyagers, under his belt - think Quantum Leap, but with a kid in tow (and not jumping into people's bodies!). Last I knew, that was on DVD. And, naturally, he died on the set of his last spy series, Cover Up, which aired on CBS. (Ironically, the actor to replace Hexum after his accidental death, Antony Hamilton, also died young, at just 42, of AIDS-related complications in 1995. And Hamilton starred with Peter Graves and Thaao Penghlis [Tony/Andre, Days) in the Mission: Impossible '80s revival, which aired on ABC. Also on DVD.)

The hospital Jon-Erik Hexum died in, Beverly Hills Medical Center, changed hands and is now a Marriott Residence Inn. (That place has to be haunted, I'd imagine, considering it's a former hospital!)

I didn't know that about the former hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if paranormal enthusiasts frequented there.
