June 10, 201015 yr Member She, Amanda, and Angie went to the station a few minutes after Jesse, Jake, and David. Thank you.
June 10, 201015 yr Member Finally, what makes AMC reeks these days is the fact that this big production is for a couple I don't remotely buy. Jake and Amanda and their happy ending? I agree. A week long build up to a fake wedding of an already married couple...? I'll pass. And thanks to this episode, I see that's not a bad thing. Jamanda is hardly worth this focus. I feel an incredible manipulation is being done. ABC: "You WILL get excited about this couple! You WILL think Jake and Amanda are the next Zach and Kendall, Tad and Dixie or Jesse and Angie!" No thanks.
June 10, 201015 yr Member If I were you, though, I'd get used to it. David Kreizman has clearly (and unfortunately) appointed Jake and Amanda to be his "signature couple" for AMC, and all us haters better lead, follow, or get the hell out of his way. As DeeeDee would say, "Jesus. Just cancel it."
June 10, 201015 yr Member ABC: "You WILL get excited about this couple! You WILL think Jake and Amanda are the next Zach and Kendall, Tad and Dixie or Jesse and Angie!" Give them time, give them time.

Let me know when Cornelius takes off his shirt!.
June 10, 201015 yr Member Let me know when Cornelius takes off his shirt!. Sadly,I suspect that by the next time that happens the only way we'll be able to tell you is with a seance.
June 10, 201015 yr Member Finally, what makes AMC reeks these days is the fact that this big production is for a couple I don't remotely buy. Jake and Amanda and their happy ending? If only it really were their ending I think I could stomach this Sh!t. It's false advertising though. This isn't their ending. No one is dying. No one is riding off into the sunset. No one is leaving the show never ever to be seen or heard from on my TV set again. No, it's just going to go on and on with endless vow renewals coming our way. I'm starting to look forward to Alicia coming back and reclaiming her 40 mins of airtime a day.

Yeah, they're his "signature couple" even though they have no story coming up in the summer previews posted on this site from SOW or SOD. Maybe you should actually watch the show and find out what's going on.

Maybe you should actually watch the show and find out what's going on. But watching the show would lead someone to believe they are a signature couple. How could anyone who doesn't read previews be expected to know they aren't going to be on hot and heavy this summer? After this week I would fully expect them to have a story this summer. Maybe that won't be the case, but no one could know that just by watching what is on the screen right now.
June 11, 201015 yr Member Maybe you should actually watch the show and find out what's going on. And maybe you should ask somebody who knows me, b/c you clearly don't. I do watch AMC, as well as keep up with it through the magazines. Perhaps, I don't watch it everyday, but that's just b/c AMC hasn't done anything to keep me watching everyday in quite the while. Also, I've been around long enough to know summer/fall/sweeps/etc. previews in SOW and SOD mean zilch. Just b/c Dave & Donna didn't talk about Jake and Amanda w/ reporters doesn't mean the two won't have a whole bunch more story coming up. Plans always change (especially these days, when very few work from actual, long-term plans). Also, for the record, I am NOT a Jake/Amanda fan. If you can't tell that from my previous post, then I'm sorry. But don't go assuming agendas where there are none. Edited June 11, 201015 yr by Khan
June 11, 201015 yr Member You've only bolstered my opinion. Well, I didn't say you were wrong, did I, lol? As a matter of fact, R, I think your opinions about AMC are, for the most part, dead-on. I just can't get behind David like you do. I'd like to, but I can't.

I'm not assuming an agenda, but it's obvious you hate Kriezman and keep writing these ludicrous rants about what's going to happen. You don't know anything more than I do about story projections. I'm sorry if you're offended, but it's ridiculous to call Jake/Amanda the "signature" couple when they're not going to be featured every day like Gus & Harley were on GL.
June 11, 201015 yr Member Well, I didn't say you were wrong, did I, lol? As a matter of fact, R, I think your opinions about AMC are, for the most part, dead-on. I just can't get behind David like you do. I'd like to, but I can't. It's not about getting behind David. I've articulated it very clearly in the past. I don't like being told who I'm supposed to root for. I don't like being told that two characters can be up to their eyeballs in muck and grime, but it's okay for one character because all the other characters continuously say they're good... and it's bad for the other character because all the other characters say they're bad. I can totally accept characters not liking someone. Brooke and Erica hated each other, but neither was painted as a villain because of that dislike. What I can't accept is Jesse, for instance, telling Liza she has no soul because she did what she was paid to do as David's lawyer and got him acquitted. It's like, "Oh, really? No soul? You -- a man who has sworn to uphold the law, protect and to serve, yet allowed your daughter in-law to commit "murder," stuff the body of an elected official into a car and roll it over a cliff in an undignified way... is telling someone else they have no soul?" It's simply, how about this? You people quit writing stories about morally ambiguous people judging other people for being morally ambiguous? Also, quit thinking those of us who have seen all these characters do all of these morally reprehensible things will somehow block it out as soon as someone labels them as "good"?

Also, quit thinking those of us who have seen all these characters do all of these morally reprehensible things will somehow block it out as soon as someone labels them as "good"? I agree here, too. So...what were we fighting about again? ACK! This whole cynicism-mistaken-for-ranting business has me all confuzzled!
