May 27, 201015 yr Member So does this mean today's AMC and Days will air tomorrow? I thought I read something once that if the show is preempted more than half on one coast, it won't air on the other coast, and it will repeat, or is that wrong? Unfortunately, that's accurate. AMC will very likely be nationally pre-empted instead of just fitting it into some A.M. slot on the entire East Coast.
May 27, 201015 yr Member Yes it will. Only time that doesn't happen is holidays or big, gigantic breaking news. Not if the network pre-empts the entire show. Only if the affiliate cuts in. Edited May 27, 201015 yr by R Sinclair
May 27, 201015 yr Member CLAP CLAP CLAPPITY CLAP!!! And I swear, nothing, absolutely NOTHING, incenses me more than when people who DON'T EVEN LIVE DOWN HERE use this as a way to jack off their own political agendas. The same thing happened with Haiti and Katrina and the tsunami and 9/11 and almost all other things like this. It makes me want to jump up on the cafeteria table and tell everyone to STFD and STFU. It's about the people and it's about solving the got damn problem. It is NOT about "similarities to Katrina" or "how Obama's handling this." The focus should squarely sit on the gulf coast of Louisiana (MY HOME) and doing whatever we can to save it and preserve the livelihoods of the people who live off the land down here. The sorry thing is that I believe most regular people DO care about you and your neighbors and the people affected. I know that when I see those pictures I try to think how I would handle dealing with something similar. I don't wonder how those people vote. But inside the Beltway, its a gang mentality: Bloods vs. Crips and everyone and everything else is just collateral damage. I think the problem is that this isn't a natural disaster, it's a 100% manmade one and the men that made it have a lot of money.
May 27, 201015 yr Member Yes it will. Only time that doesn't happen is holidays or big, gigantic breaking news. Not always, if it doesn't air on both coasts, they usually repeat yesterday's episode. I think Angela's right and they'll show today's tomorrow. Guess we'll find out, maybe some West Coasters can let us know if a new episode airs or not
May 27, 201015 yr I don't know about AMC but I'm in Chicago where Days is on at 1 Central. Even though press conference is over, Days is pre-empted for Court Justice. It looks like a national pre-emption for Days.
May 27, 201015 yr Member ABC has a schedule, I doubt today's airs tomorrow. But we'll see. That they do, but even they don't know when pre-emptions are gonna happen. Guess we'll find out before long
May 27, 201015 yr Member ABC has a schedule, I doubt today's airs tomorrow. But we'll see. This wasn't a local pre-emption. It was a national pre-emption for the entire hour on an entire coast. There's a 99.9% chance they're going to push AMC behind a day nationally. They almost always do that when a soap, at least on one coast, gets a national pre-emption that is more than a half hour.

If you're not with us, you're against us, and we don't like you. Even if you're simply not playing the game, we don't like you. Ugh. The time to play the blame game is after the situation is stabilized and a definite plan of action is in place. I don't know about AMC but I'm in Chicago where Days is on at 1 Central. Even though press conference is over, Days is pre-empted for Court Justice. It looks like a national pre-emption for Days. Same here.
May 27, 201015 yr Member Guess that means SN won't air it either. Great. Soaps are going to be pushed back till who knows when. Unless. They do the smart thing and air a new AMC on Memorial Day. Then it will no longer be thrown off.
May 27, 201015 yr Member What likely happens is they broadcast it online on ABC and show it on SoapNet later tonight..like ZF said, no way they reschedule w/ Memorial Day on Monday? They have a set schedule. Edited May 27, 201015 yr by Clear Drama
May 27, 201015 yr Member They're not going to do that either. NO way are they going to show an episode that people didn't see on ABC FIRST on their website or Soapnet. I remember once it was said that if it doesn't air on ABC, or has a national pre-emption then it won't air on Soapnet either. Soapnet can't air new episodes before ABC. There are West Coasters saying that AMC is not airing there, so it does look like today's will air tomorrow
May 27, 201015 yr Member I wasn't home so I don't even know how much was missed on the east coast, but CBS has always been the best at airing their stuff late night when it's been preempted in the day.
May 27, 201015 yr Member Um... why is this appearing to be some kind of new phenomenon? I guess people don't remember the days when the show would be preempted and would be a day behind for a couple weeks until production caught up.
