And wow, I NEVER noticed that Larry's mother and Savannah were the same actress!

The underrated Bebe Drake.

She also was Velma Gaines on A Different World & Myra on Martin.

Yes, I was going to give Bebe her propers and mention her second episode yesterday in this whirlwind of sitcom love. She was also memorable in Boomerang ("I told you (the chitlins) don't stank if you take out da membrane..."). You gotta love how the audience "Right on's!" her when she gets all impassioned.

Alderman Davis also played one of Flo's cousins in an earlier episode, and I believe Teddy Wilson played another role besides Sweet Deaddy too, I know he played multiple roles on What's Happening!!

Teddy Wilson was also on That's My Mama and The Sanford Arms. He also guest starred on The Golden Girls. ANOTHER underrated gem, as well as his widow Joan Pringle.

Speaking of THAT'S MY MAMA, I thought it was hilarious on the TVLand Awards last night when Ted Lange told a story about his father told him, upon getting The Love Boat, that he was the only black dude on an all-white show, so he could act natural -- not the way he was on THAT'S MY MAMA. I'd have to agree. TMM was all right, but damn, they were trying too hard.

Just rewatched the episode where that man who was "blind" tried to sell an African-American Encyclopedia to the Evanses'.

And that episode where Florida found that sex book and thought it was JJ's, and James couldn't care less, but when he found out it was Thelma's he was furious.

Remember that episode where Florida flipped out and slapped Michael? I found myself laughing uncontrollably after seeing her do that.

They had Roseanne do the same thing to D.J. (hit him and feel tremendous guilt).

The store detective in the clip with a disguised JJ is a young Conchata Ferrell who now plays Berta on Two and a Half Men.
