April 2, 201015 yr Member Boo to GH being top ABC soap. It should be AMC. Why? I find GH overall more watchable than AMC and OLTL.
April 2, 201015 yr Member Yay GH!! AMC got exactly what they deserve. Boo to GH being top ABC soap. It should be AMC.
April 2, 201015 yr Member Why? I find GH overall more watchable than AMC and OLTL. IMO I just find AMC better.
April 2, 201015 yr Member I started watching GH in August last year. I don't post a lot about it but I really enjoy this soap.
April 2, 201015 yr Member GH has been somewhat decent lately, thanks to the girl playing Kristina. Actually, I think they're doing an alright job with the Kristina story. It has its flaws and I hate Sonny and Ethan, but they're going to be apart of it anyway. I'll never understand Y&R's ratings. Being on during lunch hour must really help. Looks like DAYS is losing momentum. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
April 2, 201015 yr Yes, those Days demos are bad. Their ratings have been falling since February sweeps ended. It's a good thing their renewal was already announced because the trend lately has been on a downward spiral. GH's demos continue to be its saving grace. AMC and OLTL not only have poor HH ratings but low demos. I think OLTL could hit a new low HH rating pretty soon as the ratings will most likely continue to drop in the spring and summer.
April 2, 201015 yr Author Administrator CBS really needs to put something else after Y&R. That B&B .8 gap in 18-49 demos is atrocious! How do you lose .8????? Come on, Brad Bell! Step down, you fool.
April 2, 201015 yr Member AMC: The Real Greenlee return tv grabber has ended it seems. They continue to tumble in the ratings and fan fav is soon to be gone. Add to that Hack Writers coming on board as HWs..and you have total disaster looming. Serves BF for favoriting it over OLTL and moving it to the west coast. ATWT: Hmmm....2.6 mil for Friday's show?? So fans tuned in for Dusty being shot and found for dead...hmmmmm B&B...Eh...dont care..the show is one hot mess Days: It seems like the show is starting to fall apart at the seams. GH: Pfft...dont watch the show to comment.... OLTL: Ouch....a 1.6?? Y&R: I didnt see it last week but looks like the audience is still watchin. Edited April 2, 201015 yr by Ruxton Hills

April 2, 201015 yr Member Was B&B ever a demos soap though? I never really thought it was. CBS spent years catering to older demographics, it's only in recent years they've really gone after 18-34 and 18-49 as aggressively. If B&B is canned, the only thing coming on in that timeslot will be another lame 30 min game show. But it would be cheaper to produce, and that's all that matters anyway.

I always found it weird that the gap between Y&R/B&B are so far apart while the ABC soaps are generally close together. That .8 gap just looks so bad.

Didn't Susan Flannery said in an interview if Brad wins an Emmy, he will step down? WTF?! That [!@#$%^&*] passed already. Even SF is not acting these days...

April 2, 201015 yr Member Wow. Horrible numbers for EVERYONE. Even GH #'s are BAD with this gain. ABC soaps are one HOT mess...I don't know why Frons still has a job. Do they not see this. Both AMC/OLTL are down over 100,000 in teh key demos from last year... What the hell is Frons doing to keep his job??!!
April 2, 201015 yr Member Yeah, B&B has never been a demos soap. I always found it weird that the gap between Y&R/B&B are so far apart while the ABC soaps are generally close together. That .8 gap just looks so bad. The ABC soaps tend to air as a one three hour block in most, if not all markets. The CBS soaps are very strong in the South. Y&R is often the lead-in to local news in a lot of Southern markets at 4:00 PM. In those same markets, B&B has its standard 1:30 PM timeslot, so it really has no one else to lean on. It's only in the bigger markets where Y&R is B&B's lead-in. Not to mention, there's one Southern CBS affiliate that has never aired B&B. Edited April 2, 201015 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
