I'll go against the grain and at least give Whitney props for flat out admitting her business failed. I don't know any of the backstory behind it, and I'm guessing we will learn more about it once this sad lil cast trip has concluded, but that's gotta suck to have it all fall apart.

Shouldn't have been doing that kinky stuff with your hubby on TV a few years back or else he might've still had that job.

I LOVED IT! They cant spray her with that anymore. That level of vulnerablity backfired on Brittani bc it made her come across as an a-hole and Whitney as the victim. She owned that she failed with no excuses and it made her more relateable instead of faking the funk

RH of London is really fun. I'm two episodes behind, but I love the Cotswolds scenes with all the gorgeous tweeds, Sir Henry, the difference between North (nouveau riche) and South Cotswolds (old money), and Nessie being the concert pianist.

Juliet Angus (my nemesis!) joins soon and I know she will go after Amanda -- before sucking up to her, probably, because Juliet Angus is a born minion. Where Juliet goes, I imagine Caroline Stanbury must follow, and that would probably be no bad thing for the show.

Oh, Panthea is the definition of cringe! She's from Mil Hill?? Hello, suburban. 😅 Not even a Hampstead or St John's Wood address. Panthea is so insecure with regards to these women and it shows in every interaction. She is determined to bring Amanda down but she hadn't counted on Karen making a beeline for her. Now, do I think that Karen is making a mountain out of a convo with Panthea? Yes, I do. Karen recognises that Panthea is the villain of this show (and Panthea has no problem playing the villain role, to her credit), so Karen is positioning herself as the villain's nemesis. That could get old quick. However, someone had to call Panthea out because she sucks the oxygen out of a room. Nessie blandly won't say anything; Amanda is cool under pressure but won't strike unless you come for her; Aussie Juliet has recognised that Panthea is poisonous and is politely distancing herself, waiting for Panthea to shoot herself in the foot.

I can only co-sign in your assessment of Buckingham palace garden parties vs private sit-down dinners with the Royals. There is no question that the latter is more up-close-and-personal. The garden party is a large-gathering public service: it always includes at least 100 people being honored for their work in charities.

I cannot wait till you are caught up.

Panthea's behaviour at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party is super cringe. Like I was rolling down my couch kind of cringe. Mill Hill...I know...as suburban as it gets. It's really strange how status obsessed she is when she has none of the trappings to justify it. If she was more down to earth she would be so much more likeable, but it's not in her, she's a born snob with none of the street cred to back it up.

Juliet 'Back to Paddington' Angus, it turns out, is an ex-friend of Amanda. She self destructs in her first episode without Amanda breaking a sweat. It's a scene to behold because Amanda is so calm and blasé about the whole thing.

Karen and Panthea's momentary truce is just that.

Nessie has nothing to say of consequence.

Aussie Juliet knows she's made the right decisions. You'll see her play paddle with Amanda and she's very easy breezy.

The best parts of the RHOSLC premiere were those involving Brittani. She activated the ladies and gave them material to work with. Without her antics, Id have been bored. I didnt like the structure starting off with a group trip instead of catching back up with the ladies and there was way too much Lisa talk.  I also dont think it needed to be supersize

Completely agree. I would have preferred an episode resetting and catching up where each of the ladies are currently at.

I give Whitney credit too. It was very smart at her. As @Cheap21 said, it totally removes any ammunition the ladies had against her with respect to her business. I'd like to know more about how and why it flopped and which business it was exactly: the beauty company, the Ali Babba jewelry, or something else?

Guys... you are making me want to start RHOL. I need the days to have at least 30 hours. 24 are not enough! I have to watch the SLC premiere too. These manic bishes never disappoint.

ugh... creepy Jenna is back.   She's very uncomfortable to watch and I think she would have fit in better with the OG's.  imho.

I don't think you are alone on that. I liked that. A wise and transparent move on Whitney's part. They can now not try to hold anything over her...which these ladies will (just look at what started over Lisa and her money issues). Whitney defuse the bomb.

I am so behind RHOC, its not even funny. Is it as far gone as people have been saying? The other day I heard a podcaster called Zach Peters say it needed to be put on pause for at least a year. Yikes.

RHOM:

A calmer 'HWs in their natural habitat' episode ahead of next week's finale. It kind of underscored how a lot of the same SLs at the beginning of the season are still unresolved. I don't know what the hell is going on with Alexia and Todd, and I don't really care, but WTF Alexia are you giving him the milk for free? She needs to lock this down or move on to a richer husband. Todd ain't all that.

Stephanie is also trying to draw out this Marysol rivalry stuff. I doubt Marysol thinks about Stephanie as much as Stephanie thinks about her.

Larsa's new house is a concrete Kanye Box, a Kardashian rip-off. Give me Marysol's white, rented cottage any day, it is way more charming.

The talk between Cody and Lisa was honest and I was impressed by Cody. I buy everything he said. He seems like a good guy but he's not going to put up with Lisa taking out her anger on him. The other ladies warned her about this last season.

Adriana lost me a little with her lashing out at her event. She was OTT about (checks notes) an algebraic equation written on her cake. At the same time, i get why Adriana has been feeling lost and sad. Its been plain the last few episodes. She's depressed, largely because she feels abandoned by her closest friend, and everything is now colored by that feeling of abandonment and loneliness. I hope she and Kiki make up because really, the cake is no big deal.

The icing out of Katie was pretty bad and made them all look like bullies with the exception of Tamra who took a backseat. Gretchen is out here telling damning lies like Phaedra did while gaslighting the ladies all bc she's obssessed with taking Tamra down and Slade has his own confessional living out his 19 year RH dream.

With that said I am still enjoying the show and dont think it needs a pause. Its not RHONJ bad. The one person that needs to go is Emily bc she's the main bully and such a snake. Tamra legit needs to target her next but if thats not gonna happen, just fire her. Oh and Shannon could use a pause bc she is just bitter, sour and a Debbie Downer. I think there's a path forward with Tamra, Heather, Jen and even Gina. Id bring Katie back alongside one of her friend. Gretchen was a flop as a friend

The way the podcaster was talking, he made it sound like RHOC had undergone a BH death spiral. Im glad its not that and I will continue watching, so thanks for confirming. He did say Gretchen was a flop, which I could have told him months, ago wouldn't work out. Im on Episode 5, and Tamra is not breaking a sweat in the face if a Gretchen-Slade brain trust. Naked Wasted was a huge transgression, but Gretchen doesn't have the brain power to litigate that one.

It got worse in the last episode. When the Naked Wasted retread flopped, Gretchen and Slade resorted to tell a new lie.

Spoiler

Apparently Tamra was caught having sex with her neighbor's husband and audio was sent to Slade. The couple are still together, friends with Tamra and all say that didnt happen. I bet you Slade wont be able to produce said audio

What I hate about Gretchen is how she plays dumb and tries to gaslight everyone. After she dropped that bomb, she begged the ladies not to tell Tamra, when the entire point of her saying this on camera was for it to get back to Tamra. I cant with her

Alexis Bellino in a recent podcast with Carlos said that Tamra and the other parties are considering suing them for defamation

The thing is the Tamra vs Gretchen feud could have been a story bc they have real history and beef. Gretchen didnt need to resort t making up lies in a failed attempt to take her down. She thought she'd be an easy target bc most people hated Tamra last season but its backfiring nad she's making people be on her side now

Tamra is the big problem on the OC, and no matter if she's proven right in this current situation... an individual like her needs to be fired, locked up in psych ward, and kept away from the public.  Society would benefit from trash like Tamra being locked up.

In all honesty, the OC hasn't been consistently good since season 11.  The first sin the show committed was not firing Vicki after the whole Brooks cancer scam came out.  The second sin was allowing Gina/Emily to stay on the show so long.  The third sin was moving away from focus on the families to just petty gossip.

Kimberly Beck of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter fame has never appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has she?  For a time, she was related to both Kim Richards and Kyle Richards by marriage.  In fact, the 1979 Fantasy Island episode "Cornelius and Alphonse/The Choice" had both Kimberly Beck and Kyle Richards.  Beck appeared in a 1987 episode of L.A. Law, which starred Lisa Rinna's husband Harry Hamlin.  (For the record, the L.A. Law episode in question is known as "December Bride.")  Eileen Davidson's current husband is Vincent Van Patten, son of the late Dick Van Patten.  Beck played Nancy Bradford in the pilot for Dick Van Patten's TV dramedy series Eight Is Enough.
