I’m not watching the season but I will look up her scenes. She was one of my OG Bravo favs along with Jeff Lewis.

That is how I'm feeling. Such fun memories of her and Roger.

I gasped. And it seems like some of that will be on the show, too.

Just saw the BH promo and I'm screaming. I know I'll be let down once it starts... since they are masters of trailers and making you think how amazing it will be...  and then flat-line... but still. Can't wait to be let down again, LOL.

SLC

It was just...okay.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it very much. I like the idea of just throwing us into the pool and we just figure out what is going on. It just felt so overdone for me. It's like they know we expect crazy from SLC and because of that, the producers set up crazy and it really came off manufactured, fake, and unauthentic. What made SLC wild is that for all of its crazy, it really was AUTHENTIC craziness.

Like Lisa's absence. I try to stay away from A LOT of filming tea to be surprised, but even I knew that Lisa was trying to push Bob out in the off-season and that was really the only reason she was not in the episode since she thought not showing up and making it a 'her or me' situation would help. The right thing Production should have done was let the show go on WITHOUT HER. (c) LuAnn Lesseps. hehe. But the ways the ladies kept bringing up Lisa and Jen Shah just felt so inorganic and manufactured. Outside of Bob's tea, they didn't need to mention Lisa at all. They could have just...been themselves. So that the audience could say Lisa who?

That said...I thought it did a good job setting up what was to come. It was good to see Angie K and Mary in good standing, knowing they will hit a rough patch. It was great to see Britini back in all her deluded glory...cuz we don't care about Jared...lol. And we even have a semi-silly feud coming between her and Whitney. But the main feud looks to be Lisa vs Bob. Bob quickly set that up with the Lisa money issue tea. I also loved her Reverse Uno she pulled on Heather's attempt to attack with the necklace tea. Poor Heather...some people really do OWN IT...when they mess up. Not you, but some people. ;)

Decent premiere. Happy they are back. And liked that (for now) we have THREE Housewife shows going on (MIA, OC, SLC) with MIA handing off to POTOMAC (and BH).

Since my internet wants to play...Guerdy, Adriana, and Alexia are my faves.

Second ups is Julia (yes, I said it), Marysol, Lisa (I feel it will look better on screen), and Larsa (same reason)

Last...Kiki...looking so much Mrs. Roeper. And Stephanie.

RHOSLC:

So I finished my season 5 binge watch and I have to say that I enjoyed the majority of the season... and enjoyed the new addition of Brownie Part deux (Brownie Part 1 was on RHOC) and Brittani (Jared is a jerk, but he's kind of sexy).  Both of these women managed to bring a new energy to the show without veering into dark and toxic waters (thank god Monica was a one and done).

So in the tradition of @Taoboi, I'll explain my thoughts on the first episode of season 6 of Salt Lake City.

I was hesitant because I'm someone that likes to see cast changes season to season.. but in a gradual way so the shows don't become stale nor do they become unfamiliar to the audience.  However... episode 1 did kind of present a bit of a cast change that I wasn't expecting, yet found interesting.

The whole theme of season 6 episode 1 was to present to the world a reality of what the show would be like if Lisa Barlow wasn't a main part of the show.   After watching the episode, the takeaway I got was that a new housewife would need to be added because the combination I witnessed in this episode wouldn't work long term.

Lisa:  Lisa is the antagonist of the show.  If the majority of the women hate her (Brownie, Angie, Whitney), tolerate her (Meredith, Mary), or are trying to get in good with her (Heather, Brittani)... then the individual is the center of the show.. and Lisa Barlow is the center of the show.   And her absence was felt with the women gossiping about her, trashing her, and also trying to figure out how to jump start their arguments without Lisa there to cry/yell.

Angie/Mary:  Right now, they're the Laverne and Shirley of the show... but they're not enough to be the stars of the show.. they're the comic relief.  Although it doesn't seem like a healthy friendship with Mary's intense need for total loyalty and Angie's insecurities making her an easy minion for Mary.

Meredith:  Was hardly on... but she had a few funny moments when she explained how the Lisa lawsuit situation and the Jen Shah situation were not comparable to one another... and her trying to figure out fishing/fly fishing.

Whitney (Little Girl):  A grifter wannabe that decided to focus her venom on Brittani.   Little girl gets away with a lot because of her whiny voice and slutty ways (I will always judge a homewrecker).

Brownie Part Deux:  Shady and a liar... but compared to Jen Shah and Monica, she's harmless... so far.   Unpopular opinion, but her hubby is justified in the way he talks to her... sometimes.

Brittani:  I didn't view her defending Lisa because she's friend with Lisa.  I viewed it as a way to audition for a snowflake since Lisa was holding out for more money/other perks.

Heather:  Her black eye drama has forever tainted her in the eyes of viewers, but I have to say that her talking heads are the best and I live for them.  Mary's talking heads come in a close second (her remarks about giving fish CPR was so Mary LOL).

Scenes for season 6 looks as though Lisa will be having drama with the girls and drama at home.   The other women need to start bringing up their dramas at home more if they hope to be rid of Lisa.

Lastly, I do recall when the show was starting that Lisa B was the one that was partly responsible for connecting the women.. or did I hear/read that wrong?

Looking at the full-length shot, I think Kiki actually nailed this look, Mrs. Roper though it may be. I also think the metallic wine color on Adriana looks fabulous.

Marysol looks good, I thought it was Lisa at first glance. Alexia pops in the yellow, but I've seen her in this type of dress before.

Guerdy, Julia and Lisa are just ok. But those are terrible outfits on Larsa and Stephanie.

What a pity the reunion theme was Virgin Cruises and not Sevilla! Richard Branson must be paying a ton for the sponsorship.

RH of London

So far, this show is flawless.

It will be interesting to see what Karen had up her sleeve talking about Panthea with all the other women at dinner (who universally slated her behind her back)...it may have been a cunning test on Karen's part to see how quickly people would turn on her.

Nessie is fake. She just praises everyone and everything. This episode really highlighted that.

Juliet 'Bad to Paddington!' Angus arrives next week to tangle with Amanda. I expect Amanda to annihilate her. Why Juliet is on this show when it's so excellent is puzzling. It's like the producers got cold feet and thought they needed to further spice it up.

Next week we have Panthea attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace. Firstly, she's mistaken its prestige, thinking that Karen's private dinner with HRH The Princess Royal is inferior, when the Buckingham Palace Garden parties are attended by thousands of people who get maybe 10 seconds with one of the Members of the Royal Family attending. Panthea is very cringe.

RH of London is really fun. I'm two episodes behind, but I love the Cotswolds scenes with all the gorgeous tweeds, Sir Henry, the difference between North (nouveau riche) and South Cotswolds (old money), and Nessie being the concert pianist.

Juliet Angus (my nemesis!) joins soon and I know she will go after Amanda -- before sucking up to her, probably, because Juliet Angus is a born minion. Where Juliet goes, I imagine Caroline Stanbury must follow, and that would probably be no bad thing for the show.

Oh, Panthea is the definition of cringe! She's from Mil Hill?? Hello, suburban. 😅 Not even a Hampstead or St John's Wood address. Panthea is so insecure with regards to these women and it shows in every interaction. She is determined to bring Amanda down but she hadn't counted on Karen making a beeline for her. Now, do I think that Karen is making a mountain out of a convo with Panthea? Yes, I do. Karen recognises that Panthea is the villain of this show (and Panthea has no problem playing the villain role, to her credit), so Karen is positioning herself as the villain's nemesis. That could get old quick. However, someone had to call Panthea out because she sucks the oxygen out of a room. Nessie blandly won't say anything; Amanda is cool under pressure but won't strike unless you come for her; Aussie Juliet has recognised that Panthea is poisonous and is politely distancing herself, waiting for Panthea to shoot herself in the foot.

I can only co-sign in your assessment of Buckingham palace garden parties vs private sit-down dinners with the Royals. There is no question that the latter is more up-close-and-personal. The garden party is a large-gathering public service: it always includes at least 100 people being honored for their work in charities.

RHOSLC:

An unusual opening episode, straight into a 'cast trip' on an RV, and I enjoyed every moment. With Lisa Barlow's absence (apparently she was still 'negotiating pay' when SLC started filming), you can see Brittani doing Thee Most as she senses a spot might be free. Still, I'm fine with this being a 7-8 person cast. From the opening credits, it looks like Lisa finally got her hair cut into a long bob (Bronwyn: 'She's coming for my look!').

Heather is still the narrator (sigh) and while she instigates against Lisa Barlow in her VTs, during the trip she was baiting others to say something bad about Lisa so she could 'defend' her 'friend' and accuse them of being mean. Heather is so transparent. We've seen this game before, back in the Jen Shah days. I also noticed in her VT that her mentions of Jen Shah are no longer as forgiving as they were last season, so she's clearly read Housewives Twitter and now realises that Jen Shah coming back to suck the energy out of this show serves nobody, least of all her.

Bronwyn laid it out there regarding the lawsuits besetting the Barlows, and I'm OK with that gossip being discussed. I hate when RHs are coy about gossip that's out there (BH, I'm looking at you). Angie lowkey had her back on releasing all that info.

It was nice to see Mary so light and happy this episode!  When Brittani said "We're near my house!" and Mary said "We can drop you off," I

Regarding your last question, I think it was a mix of Lisa Barlow and Jen Shah connecting the cast.

I don't agree re: a couple of the HWs -- Heather is so manipulative in her VTs! I can appreciate what a great storyteller she is, and the way she controls the narrative in her VTs is top-tier and should be studied.

I also, for some reason, am rooting for Bronwyn this season? I think Lisa and Heather were unsettled by Bronwyn's money and have tried to guide the rest of the cast against her. While I don't mind them revealing things Bronwyn would rather stay hidden, I do think she has been mean-girled. She is also quite insecure and would love for Lisa and Heather to bring her into their circle. That sets up some interesting dynamics for this season.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa... ITA -- this season, Lisa Barlow IS dominating the show. Do I think she is a superficial narcissist? Yes, yes, I do. Lisa Barlow is not substantial enough to be a Queen Bee for the ages (Nene, LVP, Gina Liano). BUT she does have dirt on all these women, and she can fight dirty and effectively, as last reunion proved. LB is underrated at reunions, she is a total sniper and usually has her facts locked down.

Totally agree about Little Girl and Brittani. Whitney is a wannabe who thinks she could be a RH great. She couldn't. Like Lisa Barlow, she collects dirt on the women, but the difference is that she collects gossip and spreads it and when it turns out to be untrue, it boomerangs back onto her. Brittani is just thirsty for a spot, and not exceptionally smart, but that can be fun to watch in small doses.

The best parts of the RHOSLC premiere were those involving Brittani. She activated the ladies and gave them material to work with. Without her antics, Id have been bored. I didnt like the structure starting off with a group trip instead of catching back up with the ladies and there was way too much Lisa talk.  I also dont think it needed to be supersize

It definitely could have stayed the normal 43 minutes. The Blair Witch stuff was totally unnecessary.

I'll go against the grain and at least give Whitney props for flat out admitting her business failed. I don't know any of the backstory behind it, and I'm guessing we will learn more about it once this sad lil cast trip has concluded, but that's gotta suck to have it all fall apart.

Shouldn't have been doing that kinky stuff with your hubby on TV a few years back or else he might've still had that job.
