I can't bear Angie this season...

I'm almost close to the end... and this bish is just so rude... so hardcore all the time... and it feels like she is forcing herself to be like this. She wants spotlight. She wants ME! moments.

UGH.

The way she shoved that fake penis in Heather's mouth... at that public shop where who knows touched that thing before... was borderline assault. I don't like jokes like that. I would freaking sue you if you do this. Nobody gets to shove things in my mouth without my approval.

Heather... who I LOATHED the entire season... is a little easier to stomach the past 2-3 episodes.

Mary's son... Lord... That's dark, dark stuff.

RHOBH:

Wait, this reunion is,stretched out beyond two parts? What an unwelcome surprise. I thought Garcelle was going to walk away at the end of this episode, and that i could walk away thereafter! Instead we got Dorit 'my house in the Valley is in foreclosure' sneering at Sutton's home on a busy street? What a cliffhanger.

Sure, I've always thought Sutton buys people's friendship, as she seems to be an anxious and insecure person in her relationships. That doesn't mean she's Lisa Rinna level of evil.

Jennifer Tilly's jewellery collection is top-tier. But why was she so deferential to Erika?

Kyle spent the entire episode gaslighting everyone, including producton, about hiding her private life and co-opting the rest of the cast into doing it for her. She's somehow convinced Sutton that by doing so, she's letting her into her 'circle of trust.' But as Garcelle pointed out, it's all manipulation to intimidate others into silence. Everyone else sat there without saying a word, because (again, as Garcelle intimated) Kyle is de facto chief EP of this show, and everyone wants to keep their job. She has killed this show. All the other RH shows (especially SLC and OC) are showing it up for what a scripted borefest it is.

Cue that iconic Charrisse gif

Porsha is doing too much, now that Simon has left her without the money she married him for.

Maxim! I am also catching up on SLC, an absolute FIRE season, and I'm so thrilled I'm not the only one discovering it in real time! Im on the last episode of reunion and will post on it later.

That read on Little Girl was harsh but also Chef's Kiss.    Long overdue. Whitney needed to hear it, as Heather needed to hear her's. I actually gained a little more respect for Heather after her response to the text.

So, I felt a similar way about Todd, and then watched the second reunion episode and did a 180. I think his heart and principles are in the right place and fundamentally he's an OK guy. Will be interesting to hear your take.

As for Angie... i both really enjoy her and what she brought to SLC this,season... but I also acknowledge the truth of your words on Angie. She's thirsty and does too much sometimes and can be vengeful. She's got to be very careful about balancing that going forward. Her talking about her mom, her family, and her friendship with Mary, are winning me over to her. Mary is essentially this show's breakout star.

Well, I just finished. I thought it was a great reunion to an outstanding season. All these women need to come back next season-- this cast has finally gelled together, and even amid the animosity sometimes, you can feel the bonds these women have with each other, the shared experience. Like when Meredith blithely admitted to Jen Shah calling her, and everyone was like 'After the trauma that woman put us all through?' With Jen Shah gone, it kind of bonded the women together, upped their confidence... with the exception of Meredith who IMO has been striking out in all the wrong directions. A confident women, like S1 Meredith, would not have taken that call. Honestly, when Meredith threatened to walk off the set, I was like OK, go! I didn't care, and I usually love Meredith and her shaky diction.

Mary is truly MVP of this group, and i was outright sobbing when she talked about Robert Jr. Andy Cohen is one of those superficial people who glides through friendships with these women, but it honestly seems like Mary genuinely moves him and he cares for her a little more than everyone else. She absolutely grounds and stabilises this show. And she's legit hilarious without even meaning to be.

Lisa is a deeply narcissistic, superficial person and that will never change. But she does contribute to the SLC cast, and clearly her marriage will be in the spotlight next season. Certainly, I didn't buy Little Girl's promise that she'd never raise it again. Little Girl has dug a lot of dirt up about everyone and thinks she can threaten them with it, but the women have her number now and she's a checkers player, not a chess master.

I am Team Bronwyn and Todd. Unapologetically. I think Todd showed how much he cares for Gwen and his family. I very much hope Bronwyn is back next season, but I have a feeling Todd will refuse to film next season.

Heather is Heather. I hope she drops the self-deprecating act now after admitting to having more confidence now. She was suspiciously quiet during the talk of Jen Shah. I really hope she's not still pinning her RH future on that felon. The show has moved on from that.

Angie has grown into her own, although she still goes OTT when she's against someone. I get it -- as Shawn said, its hard to live the rumors down which have followed him for two seasons. What's interesting for next season is how Meredith is clearly jealous of her friendship with Mary.

Like @NothinButAttitude I agree that Brittani is thirsty and not very bright and much better as a FOH rather than an actual HW. But we will see. I am already looking forward to the next season starting later this year. Honestly, SLC was SO good, it was like it gave the RH brand hope and a new lease of life. Which is rather miraculous! I hope it preserves that particular chemistry between the cast. It was well balanced this season.

Well given the tea of the husbands (+ Jared) filming this past week and all the alleged drama going on with Lisa...it should be an interesting S6.

And lest we forget...Jen Shah got her prison term reduced all the way down to her now being released NEXT YEAR.

Again... f*ck Brit Eady!

And I am glad that Angela called her out on her many lies tonight. Girl, you don't lose licenses on rumors. Can they spark investigations? Yes. But enough with the lies to further make Kenya your 'bad guy.' I sincerely believe this idiot is being fed things to say by production/Bravo, but the women and audience aren't buying it. She will end up being a one-season flop. Her stories are inconsistent.

And her saying that Kenya posted underage photos of her is stupid. Dummy, Bravo would've never aired the episode if true, and Kenya would be fired instead of put on pause. They did an investigation. Clown.

And I cannot with people dismissing the gun statement. I don't care how you said it. You said it! If you threaten my life, you don't get to tell me how far I can take it. And I am going to HELL if you threaten me.

^I agree with you both - Brit still sucks and Angela was the MVP of tonight's episode for sure.  Brit again said on WWHL tonight that she's never owned a pistol, but who says what she said if she didn't.  If true, then it's just weird.  It was weird how amped she got anyway that night.

Love hearing the SLC commentary/thoughts - glad you all loved it as much as we did.

My main problem with her is her lack of accountability. She is STILL doubling down on Kenya target=ting her from day one even despite seeing how crazy she looks on tv. I think she knows that if she admits that then its admitting she is at fault for how things went down.

Also interesting that no one on the current cast likes her besides Porsha and Cynthia. I already knew she fell out with Kelli and Shamea but the shade she threw at Drew and Angela confirmed that the same is true for those two as well

She said what she said bc she knows the Kenya haters would run with that. Despite this damage control she is doing, she is still out for revenge and is being strategic in her words to further bury Kenya. I wish our girl was smarter than to even give her the opportunity to do so.

And how the heck would Kenya get a private photo of her taken by her bf from 20 years ago? Nah, bish, if you are gonna to insinuate that then, you need to speak on it all the way

Yes!  I didn't realize she fell out with Kelli, but it was clear on WWHL tonight that she isn't friends with Kelli now.  I wonder when and what happens.  The more she isolates herself, the less likely she'll be coming back next season.

Speak on it. If you want to play so badly when you got the disclaimer...don't be surprised or fear tears when I gather, read, and drag you to where you want to go...over something YOU started I will clearly add.

Yeah re: Angela. I knew. I just don't know why. Yet.

Oh, yeah. I poked at that last week...Kelli being a good friend...and at some point it's going to come and bite her on the tail. She was better off staying ki-ki-ing with Kenya. Who I believe she's gone back to ki-king with off-screen. And coming for 50Cynt.

What if they time it with Monica's return?

    • I still continue to think that Dani is written like she's been in a soap opera for 20 seasons and she's come to a point where she's completely spent storyline wise. It's a vibe I'm getting. Characterization wise... It's like she is either incredibly stupid... or just plain delusional and out of touch with reality. I choose to pick the second option. Also... to me... she has not been entertaining for months now. Ever since they decided to jump straight to... she's an alcoholic... which we didn't need at this point... the character has struggled. Her initial Ex-wife-from-hell bravado was more interesting, even though cliche.  I expect her to improve in the coming months... they used her as a clown type of character to draw in views. Now I need to see the human being. If there is one, behind the soap opera caricature.
    • A full 1973 episode that looks fantastic in color.
    • It 's obviously cheaper to go the true crime route. Having different reporters and production teams covering a variety of topics costs more. The networks are delivering budget programming these days.
    • Maybe because 60 Minutes has kept the same formula for almost 57 years? Usually, there is more than one interview/topic discussed, like a real magazine. Dateline, 20/20, and so many others have all fallen to the one-subject formula: True crime. I mean, I'm a Forensic Files junkie and loved original America's Most Wanted back in the day, but even I think the TV market has been over-saturated with all crime, all the time. There was still that element when these shows began, but they were a segment of an episode, not the entire episode. Maybe the audience is just getting bored with such a fixed formula. If stories were intermixed with crime, some feel-good segment, and maybe something to do with lifestyle/music/and yes, as much as I have come to hate it, political issues, maybe these shows could rally. As they are - again, minus 60 Minutes - they have become tired and predictable.
    • Interesting tidbit- Robert Newman (Josh) dated Jennifer Cooke (Morgan) when they first started on Guidling Light (it was reported in the press and I think they talked about it in interviews). I did see (as a young kid) Rita having a flashback about Roger's rape of her --and it was confusing as a kid because she was on the floor leaning against her bed and she looked like she was seduced by force and her dress was in disarray, her hair was mussed, make up was a bit messy, but she looked at him with fear, disgust and confusion but the camera was in soft focus (so I get why people may say it was romanticized)--and I remember asking what happened to her and told well she is having nightmares/flashbacks of Roger not being nice to her
    •   Like I said I wasn’t talking about characterization. It makes sense that Dani is in denial. However literally no one in the real world would accuse someone of faking a pregnancy. Why? Because it’s just not feasible. What is Dani supposed to expect from Hayley—that she’ll be hiding a pillow under her shirt 24/7? Come on. The accusation has no legs, and that’s exactly why nobody would ever go there. A far more plausible accusation—one that actually has been made for centuries—is that someone might lie about who the father is. Dani only vaguely hinted at that, but at least that angle would make some narrative sense. I’d go for a coworking space that would be home to these small businesses like Kat and Chelsea’s bag startup (the whole police station trope feels like copaganda to me)
    • I guess RTPP looked worse because it followed Another World, but it's a shame they didn't give it more time especially considering how the shows that were put on following it fared.
