I have mixed feelings on the RHOA trailer. It's good to see vets Porsha and Cynthia back, and I guess Phaedra even though she's become such a one trick pony for me. I don't have a clue about all the new women so I can't be excited or disappointed either way. Same for Shamea. I think it's kinda funny she's been around the group for SO long and now she finally gets the spotlight. Yes, the same thing happened with Marlo, but Marlo had already given us many memorable moments. Shamea has always been just... there.  Oh, and Drew is back. Yay.

So I'm cautiously optimistic. It's a 50/50 on this being pass/fail, similar to the RHONY Season 5 soft reboot of 2012.

Well now that I had time to think about it while at work...It looks like Bravo is giving Kenya the Linnethia Leakes Special to me. Shady actions all the way out the door.

Seriously though...my feelings for that trailer are mixed. Part of the reason RHOA has had a hard time IMHO is that it's been taking lashings that Bravo really want to give to Nene. How else do they keep finding every which way they can to damage their once # 1 show? So with that in mind, I can't with that trailer.

A BETTER trailer...what I mentioned online...would be to show the buildup to Kenya's event. We already know her vs Brit (along with Porsha's return) is the main storyline. That Brit and Kenya had two confrontations at least. Kenya could have bowed out mid-season with Porsha taking the spotlight with her incoming feud with Drew and then the return of Shady Phae Phae at the end. All of the chaos seen or heard about online could have been teased a la BH's Season 9 with LVP's exit if played right. And all they gave was THIS???

I'm interested. Because the trailer definitely left A LOT out I hear. Good. Keep me intrigued cuz I am. But that could have been so much better. And I feel underwhelmed.

Keep in mind, I've only seen the trailer once. Of the new girls, I can't wait for Angela Oakley. And that Flavor Flav moment was hilarious. Kelli...not sure. I already dislike Brit from the leg thing given I already know what the audience will think of her. And assuming Production shows EVERYTHING...which I feel they won't since the trailer already seems very 'get Kenya'...Brit might be in the wrong. And if Production don't show it, I am sure Kenya will bring the receipts. I don't mind seeing how Shemea is now though it was the S9 Shemea (and her rivalry with Shady Phae Phae) which made me like her. This new one could be a great position if she picks a 'showing her wealth' lane...something RHOA does need. Shady Phae Phae...well...let's not. lol. And we know Porsha is Production's Fave so *shrugs*

I'm basically wait and see.

So basically Kenya is just a FOH. Or worse...is getting the S7 Porsha Williams edit/punishment.

Yeah outside of S9 and her rivalry with Shady Phae Phae she has not given much.

You are not alone on that. That scene was extremely chilling. So I did not mind at all Sai going in about it in her Confessional. Because Brynn was just a mess last night. And now she's been all coy/smug with Production? Meanwhile Ubah was a mess when she got back to the house.

Yes. Very much so. All I want to see her do is own it. Like LuAnn did on NY back in the day.

THANK YOU!!! I thought it was just me. If anything, I felt Jessel had a glow-up. Compare her at the first cast trip last year to now, and it's night and day. She brings fashion in a way she did not before, and I love her vibe.

Ooooo not Meilli!!! smh.

I feel such a way about it.

RHOA

I didn't miss Simon's name one bit. I hope Porsha has something more to offer other than her divorce and this feud with Drew. Her divorce is old news to me and I honestly don't care.

I pray this Brit/Kenya scandal does not play out all season. Once Kenya exits wrap that [!@#$%^&*] up!

I completely disagree with those comments about Shamea. Shamea has always been a good addition to the show. She didn't have explosive moments like Marlo but certainly memorable ones.

Now that Shemea’s a main housewife watch her upstage and become a fan favorite. She's full of personality, well-connected in Atlanta, and has many jobs. She has money, she has a husband, and a child, and I believe her story will touch the viewers.

I love that Atlanta is being anchored by Porsha and Shamea who have been friends since childhood.

Just saw this comment! Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but while Gretchen is not as dumb as Alexis, that girl is no brainiac. Tamra ran circles around her and Slade back in the day.

Part of Tamra's power lies in the bad secrets she knows about you. Gretchen and Slade had stuff to hide, and so Tamra always had leverage over them. Jennifer Pedranti is also not as smart as Tamra, but she lays almost all her cards out on the table. Consequently, Tamra is less able to threaten her.

I'm not sure Gretchen understands this nuance, and while I welcome the Shannon-Gretchen-Jen alliance, she could also mess things up badly like Alexis did.

The problem with the trailer IMO was that there wasn't any clear story anchoring it. With some of the other recent trailers (BH comes to mind) you could glean the big stories (Dorit vs Kyle). Kenya's Downfall came up very briefly and was instantly, lightly dismissed. IMO, it should have been the main inflection point of the trailer because it required the group to pick a side.

Shamea and Porsha kind of stood out at the end, but you had to wait 3 mins to get there. I didn't get a sense of the 3 newbies as independent entities, but sometimes that happens with these trailers.

@Cat Lol. Don't feel bad I tried to post a video from Instagram last night I couldn't do it either.

RHOP

The reunion trailer actually looks good. Miles ahead of the season for sure, I can not wait to kiki at them all interacting with Karen’s picture frame.

Speaking of Karen I ain't mad at her for getting the Kim Richards treatment.  Even if it's just a short clip. She's still the diva of the show!

and messy Eddie. I love the chanting at the end. This looks fun.

I am flopping today with the embedding (thanks for understanding my struggle @DemetriKane !). But what isn't flopping is this reunion trailer which is 100%  ! February 16th? We have to wait that long? Scrap all the remaining episodes and screen this on Sunday IMMEDIATELY.

Karen may not be there in person, but her video message certainly left Wendy in a flap. Unpopular opinion: Wendy not-so-secretly loves to play put-upon, righteous victim. Still, I cannot believe i am saying this, but Wendy Unleashed (and Eddie) may have guaranteed themselves a spot on RHOP next year just from that trailer alone.

Everyone's foot on Mia's neck is literally Chef's Kiss. She should be called out left and right for The Lies, The Lies!

Stacey still giving me first-season Kenya Moore vibes. You know TJ was a boyfriend for hire.

Ashley Darby giving me approximately zilch.

Reunion looks good! I'm all for them coming after Mia

There must be A LOT of talk about MIA Karen and Triflin' Mia to fill up 3 parts.

Agreed on Wendy. On one hand, I'm glad she's not the perennial outsider anymore. On the other hand, her becoming the friendly middleman Switzerland in most of the feuds doesn't ring true. And, as much as I always wanted to like her, I think overall she doesn't have the most likeable onscreen personality. I do find myself kinda eyerolling or cringing at some of her attempts at wit in her talking heads. But she'll likely be back another year.

    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab the episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). The full HD version of ep.3170 is on YouTube channel:

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
    • The show is done. It got canceled at the end of January. https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2025/02/fox-first-run-cancels-dish-nation-person-place-or-thing-pictionary-759232
