Great episode!

I know it's the result of her about to go the slammer but I love the more mature and laid back Teresa.

No opinion on new girls.

The scene with Juicy, Gia, and Frank Giudice :(

I thought the opening episode was heartfelt even though I still don't dare for Eddie Munster Teresa. I think that it helped set the tone for the season, which will be more light and heartfelt--a HUGE difference from the first five seasons of RHONJ. I do think that Amber is going to be the one to watch this season....

Oh I LOVED this opening! They needed to revamp this show and I'm glad it finally happened. Looks like a completely successful reboot, quality-wise. It was well-produced and had a balance of laughs and heartfelt moments. The mix of women is interesting and I think they did welll casting all 3 new ladies. Dina's return is seamless. She really should've never left. I hope the opening returns next week and I imagine it will since they filmed new shots for the ladies.

Why was there no opening?

The initial scene with Teresa and Gia was heartbreaking

The bitch is back and if you dont like it then you can kiss her ass! Dina's re-entrance was perfect and she looks great.

I like that Teresa and Melissa are on good terms. i was so over that storyline

LMAO at Amber's reaction to the dead pig. Her husband is a goodball. I like her and this family so far

Teresa coming out with a dessert line....poor irrelevant cousin who shall not be named...lol

The new Teresa....she could at least have a h in her name. She needs to call herself Terri or something. I dont like her husband Rino. He sounds and acts alot like Ritchie

LMAO that Milania interrupted Teresa's talking head. She remains the first kid to be in a talking head

I've been reading a lot from people who like Amber so far, but I'm going to be the first to say I hate her lol. I agree her family seems interesting and watchable, but there is something about her that I feel is going to drive me crazy. She seems a bit old school Melissa aka famewhorish. Not only that, but she didn't bring her receipts re: Melissa's Facebook post so I just know she's a basic ass bitch. I feel like she's going to be at the center of drama, but because she WANTS to be at the center of drama. But you need one like that so it's all good.

I DID NOT miss Caroline one bit, same goes for Kathy. I'm not looking forward to seeing Kathy and Rosie next week. The show has moved on perfectly without them!

Kathy is the lovely, beautiful, kind, sweet, and matronly cousin of Teresa. She was the only grounded one in the bunch who wasn't a famewhore and was as real as you could get. wub.png Plus her desserts are legit and Teresa wishes she had half the talent of Kathy.

Rewatch the first episode of Season 3 (her premiere). She was so far up Kim G's butt she could tell us which flavored Ensure shake Kim G had for lunch. Her and Wench had such thirsty looks on their face at the Posche fashion show.

What is Bravo up to? Why are they filming Alex McCord, Cynthia Bailey, Countess LuAnn and Patti Stranger at an event hosted by Jill Zarin?! What the hell does this mean and what is it for? Do you think it's just a natural occurrence or are they looking to pull a RHOBH/RHONJ and testing Alex and Jill for a RHONY return? Could the event air on RHOA since Cynthia and Peter are there? Could it be for Millionaire Matchmaker? Those cameras are there for a reason.

Article and pics from said event (you can see the Bravo cameras in one pic): http://mccordvankempen.com/blog/2014/07/real-housewives-jill-zarin/

I love how you skipped over and didnt even mention the random b-tch that no one gives a f--k about.

The guest looks too random to be for a show on the current Bravo roster. Maybe a pilot or one time special?

I bet you anything it's for the new season of Chef Roble and Co. His show features these sort of events in each episode.

You mean Kathy, the honest, geniune, loving housewife that was about the only warm thing about the last 3 seasons of NJ? :D

    • Well, you are the most ill-informed, condescending person on this board so I am glad you enjoy mocking me? Or whatever you are trying to do lol.  You literally can't comprehend the simplest things about the show and don't watch, but are literally shaming me for being a women?

One other side note, because now I've re-read 1993-1994.  I think that I found a ret-con issue. In 1993 after John finds out that Stefano is Kristen's father. It is not like I am claiming to have found nuclear fission, clearly mistakes happen.  But, I found this to be amusing. In 1993, Stefano becomes deadly ill, so Kristen tells John that she needs to be by her father's side, but not to worry about the deadly disease, because she's adopted.  Given, that I've always thought of Kristen as being adopted, until the more recent cannon that she is Stefano's biological child, it is interesting that in 1993, the week before Tony comes to town to announce that he is Kristen's fiancée.  Kristen is saying that she can't give blood to her dying father, because she was adopted.  So, the current reverse in cannon, neglects that detail. It is so funny to read this and then see Kristen and Tony in the crypt this week, 32 years later.  That's more than half the show's history at this point, amazing.
    • It was shuffled off the stove way before that. Think of the early summer stuff with Gio, Emma, and Dalton, which they basically dropped for weeks at a time, and then also put them on the back burner until recently.

    • After the slap it does feel inevitable - being arrested and thrown out right after her big win.
    • Yesterday it was Theo and Jada.  Today it's Chad and Belle.  What a mess.
    • I asked my soap historian GPT to help pull together the best available sources on Daniel Pilon’s run, and here’s what the research confirms: * Pilon played Max Dubujak on *Ryan’s Hope* from 1983–88. * He began appearing as Alan Spaulding on *Guiding Light* in 1988. * An academic source notes that he appeared as **Max and Alan simultaneously in November 1988 * His later-life interviews mention major upheavals, including losing his home in the Northridge earthquake and declaring bankruptcy in 1994.  That’s the factual foundation. Now for the human side of it. I’ll admit Pilon was never my favorite Alan. The Spauldings are supposed to have that patrician, Midwestern money vibe, and suddenly here comes this very European-sounding gentleman sweeping into Springfield like he wandered in from a different soap entirely. It created a strange tonal shift, at least in my memory. Whether he was intended to be temporary is hard to pin down, but honestly, looking at what he was dealing with in his real life, I don’t know that the show ever had a truly stable window to figure it out. He was going through marital strife, while being talked about as the "next James Bond" back in Canada, and juggling work on two soaps at once is a lot. Under those circumstances, the question of whether he was the “right” type for Alan becomes almost secondary to the fact that he was working through multiple emergencies while stepping into one of GL’s biggest roles. So for me, the story of his Alan isn’t just about casting fit. It’s about an actor navigating chaos and the show adapting on the fly. Also, the proverbial soap hill that I would defend its honor, is that Ron Raines in the final week was so amazing, that for me, it erases all prior memories of his performance.
