Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Kandi was lucky to have her spinoff air on Sunday nights, Bravo's biggest night and right off of ATL's best season ever. NeNe and Kim were both on Tuesday, right? (or was Kim eventually on Thursday?)

Agreed about the Beverly Hags. They're all so bitter and spiteful. Without Lisa, Kyle would surely find another target (Brandi?) to play victim to. Wash, rinse, repeat.

These ladies should have learned from the NYC overhaul of 2011. 100% hate is bad for the whole show.

Just thinking about those four make me shudder. The thirst to appear Happy and Shiny and Smiley would be huge with those women, but you know that Brandi would always be one cocktail/medication mix away from turning Cujo on those bitches. In fact, Yol vs Brandi is just waiting to happen. The sad thing is that while that sounds watchable when I type it, in person it would be deathly dull as Brandi would be slurring and swaying everywhere, and Yolanda would have her EVERYTHING'S PERFECT/DoNotCompute face on.

Teresa looks the best I've ever seen her.

Wtf was Joe Gorga doing in the background? He's so stupid. Man I'd love to get him drunk tho.

Kandi's premiere also has the luxury of being labeled as RHOA so anyone who set their DVRs for season 6 also downloads Kandi's wedding episodes. Very smart Bravo!

LOL I had forgotten Kathy was actually ever on the show! lol Aww, let's shed a little tear. Because we prob won't be seeing Rosie again!

(NothinButAttitude wink.png You know I love you really and am just playing with you)

Lexi seems like she really REALLY wants to be a part of this show...

Rosie was in the half-hour preview, as was Kathy. Something about Rosie losing weight in one scene, and in another, a dig between Kathy and Teresa because Teresa is embarking on desserts.

No sign of Chucky or Donkeyface though.

LOL @ Chunky (typo, and it stays) Chucky and DonkeyFace.

Spoke to soon, huh. I did like Rosie last season, though (I don't even mind Kathy -- it's more her irritating husband that puts my teeth on edge). I especially liked her hanging with Juicy and Spray-Hair in the Catskills. The Juicy/Rosie relationship I like. I find Juicy funny and watchable sometimes, even though he is totally a criminal.

I hope we see more of Milania schooling everybody's ass.

I f-cking LOATHE Rosie and the Wakiles. Richie is a disgusting, misogynistic, slimy pig. Actually all the men are but Richie is just a special type of disgusting moron. I plan on FF any scene he is on.

Yall know I was never here for that tarsier Kathy. She can fade into the background with her irrelevant ass. Did she even say a word at their last reunion? Hell I fell asleep watching it so may be she did.

I honestly don't know what it is about Juicy but he gets such a major pass from me. He's just too lovable to hate. I don't have the energy for it. And I forget the details of the crimes but I don't think physical assault, drugs, or anything of sexual nature was involved. I think it was just money correct? Anyways he's hilarious to me and I love watching his scenes with Tre and the girls.

I also see they aligned the premiere with the week Teresa and Joe get sentenced to maximize the inevitable media attention it's going to get. I like them but they brought what's happening on them on themselves. Teresa shouldn't be in her talking heads crying acting like it's happening TO her. She and Joe chose to steal millions.

I am also not here for Melissa or her husband. I dont care if they are playing nice with Teresa they disgust me.

    • Well, I am glad to know that & for it to make sense, so thanks for the info &  the perspective, also. At the end of AMC 1.0, I thought the new young talent was really quite good, but I missed Eden & NuBianca just ... well, I wasn't 100% sold on her & Bianca was so important to me. But then, Tad & Dixie were also important & yep, there's another problem, for me I mean. I'm not your typical AMC fan but I hung in there anyway. I know what you mean because it wasn't as good as it once had been but it was still Agnes's show in Pine Valley. Some of that is a bittersweet nostalgic clinging to the past, I guess. By that time I'd been through so many show cancellations. AW, Santa Barbara, PC, The City, GL, ATWT.

Betsy Snyder, when she was at DAYS was part of the WGA winning writing team before she died, tragically far too young.
    • Yep Edmund and Tad went under cover to infiltrate the... Willow Lake (I think?) old folks community scandal that was exploiting Phoebe, etc.  (Which at one point led to Edmund rescuing Brooke from quicksand--common around Pine Valley I guess

) EDIT maybe I'm wrong.  I found the quicksand scene

But for the story all I can find is Edmund going undercover as the gigolo "preying" on older women, Eduardo (no one would recognize him with that disguise and name ) so the drag must have been.. a different story?
    • But then he HATES the original Heather Webber (Cher's half sister played her, right?) and we know what happened when Robin would step into the role a year after this.  He does seem pretty spot on about actors who show promise otherwise.  It's interesting he knocks OLTL early on (though I loved all the recently released episodes from this era we got) but does give a lot of credit to the actress playing Cathy despite earlier complaining about her story.  And over all, while quite negative, his various pros and cons on the shows sounds about right with what I know of the shows at this time. This was a July dated issue of the magazine but and I know they date mags a month or two in advance--obviously when he wrote this he didn't know Lovers and Friends was gonna go off the air (in May I think).
    • You know one of the soap outlets posed that question just last week: Who do you want Trina with Spencer or Kai? And, of course, the picture of Spencer was NAC. I said, well, a lot. I chose Kai. I said that Spencer had been an entitled brat & that some people valued him over her, when I valued her above all others. I guess we'll see.
    • You're right. The only thing I can think of is if GH finally decides to bring back Spencer.
    • Sharon Rose Gabet told me on Facebook that she calls this "Baby Raven".
    • I imagine the storyline would now segue into Laura's accident. But I hope they manage to keep Leslie around though. I really don't want her to be written out, or get the DOOL treatment where she just pops up every so often to cause some short term trouble; the character and the actor were such a find.
