Love this song!! Waiting for iTunes to put it up for purchase! Probably tomorrow?

I predict it going to #1.

Here's the single version. It's the shorter version of the music video.

It's not her best song or even in her top 20. But it's still so much better then the sickness song. I am also interested in what the rest of the album has to offer. The video is good, but not... WOW Gaga is doing something revolutionary-good. It's just good. Like it, she has better videos again. I think she's gone into territory where her past material is so iconic that it's so hard to live pass it. Michael Jackson / Madonna type of curse... where people can't shake off the memory of your greatest hits.

Overall I still give it a solid 6/10!

Favourite song on the album. It’s so good! I’ve listened to it probably 10+ times already.

It sure does! LOL I'm obsessed with it too.  I literally listen to it for a hour straight on repeat (trying to learn the lyrics).  I've never done this for a non-Taylor Swift song before.

The beginning of the song has this sound effect that is similar to the sound effect at the beginning of Taylor's "Gorgeous" so that's the first I connected to Taylor.   The lyrics, the melody, the production, the use of the background vocals, the use of the repetition of some of the lyrics: You're not the guy that cheats (The guy that cheats) / And you're afraid that she might leave (That she might leave).

The post Chorus as well:

[Post-Chorus]
Uh-oh, oh, you love a good girl
Uh-oh, oh, you love a good girl bad
Uh-oh, oh, you make a bad girl
Uh-oh, oh, you make a bad girl mad
A psychotic love theme
How bad do you want me?

All of these things were very Taylor-esque to me.  I can't wait to sing/shout these lyrics when I hopefully attend my first Gaga concert.  She better go on tour! LOL

Other songs I really liked were: Vanish Into You, LoveDrug, Don't Call Tonight, Shadow Of A Man.

I think it's a pretty good album and I'm sure I'll like it even more as I continue to listen to it.

Would love to see her go full on synth pop and do more songs likes like HBDUWM.

When I hear the "How bad do you want me?" I get goosebumps... that's the Taylor moment for me.

I am still not decided on the album. I think some of the songs are real stinkers... but there are diamonds in there too.  I still have 2-3 more tracks to hear.

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
    • AI has it wrong. David was working as an aide at PV Hospital due to failing to save his brother's life and refusing to continue as a doctor. His true profession was revealed later. Edna had divorced him while he was in Vietnam and he had no reason to be in contact with her. He had no idea that he had a daughter.  Ruth was Ruth Martin, she was still married to Joe, not Jeff. He was not deceiving Ruth as he believed that Edna was his ex. The poisoning story happened late in his run and probably introduced when they knew Gleason was leaving. AI's interpretation of him as conniving seems to based on that short lived poisoning story and other misinformation. For most of 76 he was involved in the Ruth/Joe triangle to the point where Ruth was ready to divorce Joe and leave town. Joe had to have surgery, David operated and Ruth suddenly realized she wanted to stay with Joe despite all the problems they'd been happening. David then got involved with Christina with Jeff and then Edna as complications. And he arrived late 75 not 76.
    • Interesting that they started going into a supernatural direction with ghosts - I don't think they really did that before? I wonder if it was a response to getting put so late in the afternoon and I guess trying to appeal to that former Dark Shadows audience?
    • That makes sense then! Is there a place where you can read more Daytime Serial Newsletters? They sound very informative. Thank you

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark
