Huh, go figure, I'm actually looking forward to today's show, or should I say I'm looking forward to the Viki/Charlie scenes.

I'm looking forward to more Kelly and Adriana, and anything Viki and Charlie. I continue to eagerly await Stacy's death and just hope everyone can get out of this damn storm so the story can move on.

Blair is singing the OLTL theme song from the 80s!

I too appreciated that gift to the fans. It's about time that got reworked into the show! OLTL doesn't have a scrapbook or a hospital or a spinning globe, but they'll always have that theme!

Yes indeed. Only it'd have to be slowed down from the tempo the original was in.

Girlfriend was getting into that song, too! Until ol' dumbass ruined it.

I always hate it when Blair sings but that was pretty damn good. I'm with Carl's suggestion for the opening.

Do you notice that they usually use Blair to do the winking to the past, with this and the whole thing where she flashes back to being Mia Korf?

Well, my idea back in the WoST days was for Joss Stone to sing it, but Kassie would be a lot more economical. I would arrange it a little differently though, borrowing some melody from the billowy satin sheets closing theme and I'd sample other bits of previous openings in the harmony... one of those little pet projects I sometimes think about in the shower.

I think that's a testament to KDP's staying power, which I think the show appreciates about her while simultaneously taking for granted. I think they like her a lot but often forget about Blair in the shuffle or think she can just take any old thing and "make it work."

It's all for naught, though - OLTL has the most throwaway and cheap of all the ABC openings with almost no identifying marks whatsoever; Frons doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*] about it and will never give it more money to update.
