I wish the show every success (even if I find it mind numbingly boring so far) but doesn't this strike anyone else as, odd?

"Too early. It's kind of hard to say yet. Our launch was different. Syfy and the studio made a calculated gamble by deciding to release the pilot last spring well in advance of the series with the idea that that would build word of mouth and interest and momentum into the show now -- and we're all just waiting to see how that strategy pays off. It's an innovative and bold idea that nobody's really done before and I definitely supported it. Now we're just gonna have to see how that plays out. We've really only had one actual week of ratings because the first episode was the pilot that's been on DVD for months and months. Hard to even know what to expect with that first episode. Now we're waiting on the second and third episode so that we can get a read on where the ratings are going and what they're going to be."

What crap. They released the pilot expecting it to mean that the first episode would get BETTER ratings.

Unfortunately, this show is off to a slow start. I like it, but I can understand why people are tuning out. It's too bad because they have good actors. Paula Malcomson is such a good actress. She deserves to be the lead on a show that people actually watch. I wonder what the hell happened to Eric Stoltz career that he ended up on a sci-fi show on the syfy network.

I guess the ponderous misery train that was BSG has finally sputtered out...although it had been sputtering out for years anyway...

I never watched Caprica enough to know if anyone on that show ever managed to find a light switch.

Sorry, spoke too soon. It's getting another misery spinoff, but without Ron Moore.
