Members Sylph
It's the worst of the three. Carol Mendelsohn, CSI showrunner and ex-Melrose, really did a great job with the original one — I didn't expect it to last this long.

Members Vanguardian
Out of all of these proposed new shows I think "The Killing" sounds like the best one! I've read a synopsis about the Danish version of the show (entitled "Forbrydelsen") and it sounds a lot to me like a crime/mystery soap with the various suspects, red-herrings, and whodunnits. And I love it how three other separate storylines will tie in with the murder. That makes for a lot of intrigue. Political intrigue is also supposed to play a big part in this show. One article described it as a cross between "Prime Suspect" and "The Wire".

Members Sylph
I wonder why no one got the idea of creating a primetime soap set in the Wall Street banking world. Very topical, du jour, plenty of storyline possibilities, ample character possibilities... I was expecting one.
Members SFK
Perhaps they're waiting to see how Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps will do, or at least waiting to capitalize on its intended success. I wouldn't be surprised if a similar pilot popped up after its release.

Members All My Shadows
Forget Wall Street. I was terribly interested in ABC's pilot from a few years ago, Sold, which had Judith Light as the HBIC of a family-run real estate agency. I had high hopes for it, but it wasn't picked up. Administrator Toups Posted February 13, 2010 Administrator Share Posted February 13, 2010 There was one - Darren Star created The $treet in 2000. I was disappointed when it was cancelled because I really liked the cast.
Members SFK
Oh, I forgot about that one! AMS, that Judith Light show sounds good. I don't watch Ugly Betty but it looks like she plays a pretty fierce character on there. She also had a VERY short-lived sitcom where she played a Martha Stewart type, she and Jean Smart both had shows like that one season IIRC. Never caught either. Members Sylph
I remember that! About an ex-Navy guy who's now a stock broker on WS. Too bad many of Darren's shows got cancelled during/around that time.
Members Chris B
Yeah and Jeannie Garth was brought on as a Special Guest Star to boost ratings. It had a nice cast. Adam Goldberg and Jennifer Connelly were in it. I'd love to revisit that show.

Members Sylph
And I've just found out that Jesse Alexander's (ex-Heroes) Day One has been downgraded to some kind of two-hour movie, which will have a kind of unresolved ending allowing it to roll into a full-blown TV series...
