Julia Barr is back to AMC in February as Brooke English! It doesn't say for how long but based on the article it sounds like a real return and not just an appearance or two.

I hope that she and Jackson are married just as Erica finds out Greenlee is alive and feels threatened in her relationship with Ryan. That would be classic AMC.

I can't wait! Julia Barr seemed to have a real spark in her in the anniversary episode, which I missed in Brooke in her last years on the show. I will look forward to seeing Erica spar with a woman her own age, and seeing the women in PV hopefully start to have more intelligence again.

From SOD On-line - it sounds like she may be back just for one story arc and it starts on February 23:

Julia Barr Returns To AMC!

Thought the glimpse we got of Julia Barr's Brooke on the January 5 anniversary episode was all you'd get? Well, you thought wrong! Soap Opera Digest has learned that the actress will be back starting February 23 for what a show rep promises will be "a great story arc." Barr joined AMC in 1976, winning two Daytime Emmys before leaving in 2006 when she opted not to remain with the show on recurring status (she was not offered a new contract when hers expired).

I'm hoping it might turn into a longer stint but this is more than I'd expected, so I can't complain too much. I guess it might be something with Jack and Erica?

I'll take it! Even if it's only short-term, which she may very well prefer, at least things have been mended and the door will probably remain open for subsequent returns. This is wonderful news.

Yay!!!!! :P

I never imagined Brooke would come back and I can't wait to see what's in store for her. Imo, this also fuels the speculation that Broderick might become the official headwriter since she and Julia have always been close.

OMG! I am so excited over this. Great news! I can't believe Frons is allowing this LOL. She looked terrific on the show yesterday. She happens to be bffs with Lorraine Broderick, which tells me that Lorraine, and probably Agnes to an extent, are firmly guiding things. Like most AMC fans, having been burnt so often, I'm still cautiously optimistic that we can get our show back, but this is really cause for excitement. I really hope this is the start of good things for the show.

Me to! :) This is so great for AMC, February is going to be a fantastic month I think. I hope it gets better and better beyond that..

It's probably to kill her off.
