The show has to plan for the future and David Canary will eventually step down from his role either this year or in the next few years so it would be more beneficial for the show to keep a young Chandler on the canvas. If Pratt were writing, I'd say it would happen, cause Guza did the same thing with the Q's on GH, and Pratt did seem to mimick Guza somewhat. It would suck though if he was let go and NY was really where he'd wanted to be, but the way the entertainment industry is looking, he's better off in L.A. anyway.
