Well, I wouldn't go THAT far; but yeah, there is a tendency not to utilize the minorities on this show to any great effect. Remember when Devon slept with Tyra? It felt to me like Neil was over and done with it in about a day.

Will he get to interact with MS? I really loved her chemistry with Shemar.

They want to cast people who won't work so that they can blame the actor rather than the writing when the character flops. This is why I think they are so eager to constantly introduce new characters while backburnering many of the more popular vets.

If you put Jermaine Jackson's hair on his head then you have a California Raisin. The difference between this and Liz Kiefer as Blake on GL or Marg Helgenberger as Siobhan on RH or Kassie Wesley as Blair on OLTL is that THOSE WOMEN CAN ACT! Based on what I've seen...he can't. Not only that, but he's miscast. You can look differently from the previous actor and still be a perfect fit for the role. Look at Jack. Terry Lester and Peter Bergman look nothing alike, but both have that same fire, that charisma and can charm the pants off the ladies. The ladies I mentioned were also perfect fits despite not looking similar.

I do feel bad for Darius McCrary. He shouldnt be blamed. What was he suposed to do? Turn down a contract role? You go find me an out of work (for the most part) actor that is going to turn down a contract role in todays world and i will show you someone who is crazy.

I, however, do understand why people will not even give him a chance. I wont. Its nothing personal to him for me. But he is not malcom. He cant be. No matter what. Not to say SM is the greatest actor of all time, but he brought Malcom to life. He is what made him work. Its how i feel about Vanessa Marcil as Brenda on GH. Can the role be recasted? Sure. Should it? Never. Because without Vanessa there is no Brenda, and thts how i feel it is with SM/Malcom.
