So, how was the 2nd episode?

I really liked the Nancy Franklin article, felt she made some really valid points. Like I said, the show definitely needs improvement, perhaps in tone and atmosphere, so it can come alive a bit more.

Am loving this show more and more every week. I am loving how more and more layers of the respective characters are peeled back every week to get the viewer more familiar with them while the story is being pregressively told. It is still kept cohesive I love the acting and the costumes as well. Well written dialogue too...

lol Why did I think of the character two face from the batman comic? But there is something awesomely intriguing about this character. I loved his conversation with Jimmy and the awkwardness of it yet how comfortably it was inter-played between both characters. Jimmy's comfortability with him made me get more comfortable with him well acted and excellent scenes

I'm watching this show because I can't resist a show set in the 20's, but I don't love it either. Nucky and Jimmy are really the only characters that I find likable. I'm relieved that Nucky isn't the same sort of likable sociopath as Tony Soprano. I spent the first couple of episodes bracing myself for Nucky to do spiteful, cruel things just because he could. It's refreshing that he doesn't. Still, there aren't enough people on this show that I care about and if it wasn't set in an interesting time and place, I probably wouldn't watch.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.

    • That was the best part of Tuesday's episode.  Martin and Smitty and their family are boring.
    • Crew Morrow's acting on Tuesday's episode was just dreadful. The weird faces he was making were just awful
    • Creatively, he probably should have stayed with The Doctors, where he stood out as an antihero lead. Not sure what happened with GH. He didn't have the same impact. Was it bad writing, not clicking with co-stars? Didn't they gave him a boat load of money to join GH in 1976? Was Mark Dante just a toned-down version of Nick Bellini? Were they basically the same character?
