So Van starts yelling again and overacting in today's episode. Oye...when will he stop doing that?? And so his boyfriend is blind and all Luke can think of is kissing Noah and having hot sex with him. Van sure is one horny guy.....I mean Luke...lol....Gawd...can Luke be acting anymore queen than he is now....damn...pour cold water on him now!!

To be honest I skip most of the stuff with Lily, Damian, Meg, Holden, Luke, Noah. Damian used to be one of my favorite characters his first time around, I think he just has lost some of his sparkle now, although when I watch his scenes with Meg they're entertaining. I will mostly just watch the story if Emma has a scene.

I wish Iva could make some guest appearances. Even with Martha Byrne I was more interested in Lily because of Lucinda and Iva than anything Lily did.

In my defense, I was reading my SOW. They made a valid point in rating the Mason saga a "miss". Their point: it's ridiculous that the "scandalous" prof did nothing more inappropriate than kiss Noah on the forehead while Carly's talkin' dirty to Craig and Meg is running around blackmailing Damian into sex.

I did happen to notice Noah was a lot more burned up at Lily's than later when he went walking with her. I almost thought the Lily/Noah moment was sweet---she bein' all mothering and stuff.

There was no yelling or overacting from Van today. I disagree that Van has no layers. That final scene between Luke and Noah got me. Van layered that final scene with Noah perfectly. He was very quiet while his eyes teared up and trying desperately to hold it in. Finally, he slowly went into gently kiss Noah and was happy and relieved that Noah actually kissed him back. The scene where Van tells Noah that he's thankful to be in his life was also very tender.

As for this storyline now, I'm very disappointed the show chose now to send Noah off to rehab indefinitely or possibly even next year. They don't get that much airtime as it is, but to send the character off for no reason when the storyline was starting and getting interesting(at least for many Nuke fans) is just a really stupid move and a blatant sign that the show doesn't care about them or the fans who have wanted them to have a frontburner story since 2007. Jake is getting some props too. But wouldn't you know that this show always does this when Nuke are getting good press for the show. I am so disappointed with what this show does with Luke and Noah.

Oh, I'm sure Noah will be back by Christmas. At least it's a little realism...until he comes back able to navigate the entire town on his own and read braille flawlessly.

Not like Bob's illness where we didn't see him for a month and suddenly he was back working at Memorial.

Tuesday:

CarJack dialogue was out-of-this-world awesome!!

I'm hoping the destroyed compass isn't gone forever.

Janet acts like she just caught CarJack doing the nasty. They were fully clothed and laying on top of the covers! (Although I'm curious as to what fueled their desire to take a mid-afternoon nap, especially since Carly had said they were going home...)

The ghostBrad bit is beginning to get old. The Bratie scenes (in the bed) were VERY well done, but I'm still ready for this mess to be over with.

Loved the "rewind" at the beginning. I love episodes with non-linear, yet non-confusing story patterns. (Rose's narrarated suspect list on NYE 2003 being my favorite.)

Teri and her retarded, freakin' name tags at Snyder Thanksgiving = just like her: un-necessary. *eyeroll*

Wednesday:

Fast forwarded through all the Nuke stuff. I really could care less if they fell off the face of the earth.

Margo needs to follow Katie around on a permanent basis. Maybe then she'll get her act together. Although, I do have to say: Margo can be a bit overbearing at times.

*eeee!!!!* Nancy!!!

I don't know how many more times I can see Noelle Beck "cry" and keep my lunch down....

LMAO at little Johnny catching on to what his daddy's been up to.

Sad to see no family for Dusty. It's days like these that I wish John was still around Oakdale to be there for him. (or hell, even Babs, because of Jen, but evidently, she's preoccupied these days)....

The scene where Jack walked in and Janet walked backwards was well done. Liked it a lot.

Where were the rest of the Hughes clan.... and the Ryans and the Stewarts? :(

Was that a new Snyder set I saw? Or an old one that just hasn't been shown in a while?

The ending montage was awesome!!

Monday:

Gotta love Lucinda. You tell her, girl!!!

LMAO at Henry's choking when Brad popped up.

Skatie = *dreamy sigh* Why can't these two just ride off into the sunset together?

They should start playing the Jaws theme when Meg's on. She's starting to scare me.

How many times can Noah fall in an episode? Jeez....

Oh no! The end of Nuke: Part 380762!! How devastating!! [ / end sarcasm]

Sweetie---you're a little confused. Jack and Carly fell asleep the night before Thanksgiving, not Thanksgiving afternoon. For some odd reason, TPTB decided to tell last Tuesday out-of-sequence, having them wake up, then remember how they ended up "sleeping" together. I don't get why they did it, other than to excuse more time-jump storytelling.

Teehee---it frosts Jan's meatballs that Jack and Carly are truly intimate, and don't need s-s-sex (or cleavage bearing tops) to bond them.

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.
    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab this episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). I thought we had the full HD version of ep.3170 on the YouTube channel, but it appears they added the wrong episode but labelled it 3170.
    • I guess, according to Mike Manning in the Michael Fairman chat, he was almost Derek

    • I imagine Brad will blow through all the money in a year and come crawling back, just as Portia warned him not to.

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
