Members EricMontreal22
I have Get into the Groove. The rarer ones for me to track down were the ones only released overseas like Drowned World/Substitute for Love from Ray of Light. I'm just hooke don collecting so now even when I don't like her single I still need them (ditto Kylie and a couple of other acts). I think you mean RedOne, not Redbone lol. He has been the co producer and co-wruiter for most of Gaga's singles including Bad Romance, and he did his own remix. Hs sound is already a bit played out for me, but I think it says something Gaga's talent that her work with him has been significantly better than most of his tracks for other artists (he has produced more than a few that sound like inferior Just Dance clones...) Members EricMontreal22
Ruxton if you haven't heard some of her album tracks, you should--on the first album Boys Boys Boys is ridiculous, inane, and camp-tastically great I think. Members Y&RWorldTurner
It will be interesting to see where GaGa goes with the next album, in terms of production. Will she bank on RedOne again and play it very safe in that regard? She speaks heavily about her "art," and being "different," I want to see how she does with a different set of producers. Yes, I know she's worked with other producers, but RedOne has so far produced the vast majority of all her songs. I'm not saying stop what's working for her and stop using RedOne as a producer, but if she wants to prove herself, IMO, as an artist, she needs her music to back up the image she's portraying. She claims to love "experimentation," I want to see if she can experiment with other main producers, maybe some that aren't overexposed, and have good material and success to back it up. Members Soapsuds
LOL...didnt start getting into the song until the end. I havent sampled her songs on her album. I just download the ones she releases. I havent bought a CD for sometime now. I didn't think I was going to like Bad Romance but I did. I do think Boys Boys Boys is a bit cheesy..lol
Members EricMontreal22
It's undeniably cheesy--and yet was a highlight of her concert cuz it was a moment she didn't remotely take seriously or try to art up. Yeah to be fair the RedOne sound is pretty safe for Gaga (even if it was made a bit darker with idustrial elements for Bad Romance). I do think though she brings out the best in most of her producers--a bit like Madonna (used to anyway). RedOne's other songs are good examples--they just aren't as strong and sound liek retreads. I was shocked at how much I loved Fernando Garibay's team up with her though on Dance in the Dark (which I hope is her new single after Speechless--it was a great concert opening). He used to work with Metro back when they had countless hits with him for Enrique Iglesias (Be With You) etc--but the sound is much much darker and industrial than I'd expect from him--it's a great song and production. (and of course Paparazzi was done with Fusari--as well as her non US single Eh Eh)
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I remember reading that Alejandro will be the third single to be released. That song is supposed to be a tribute to ABBA's Fernando, right? And of course, the production sounds like an Ace of Base 90's track updated for 2009. Though Ace of Base were essentially a 90's update of ABBA with synthesizers anyway.
Members bellcurve
One of my friends posted that on Facebook today. LOL. Funny you should mention.
Members EricMontreal22
Yeah (I don' tthink it's RedOne). Hrmm i as hoping for Dark, Alejandro would be a better Summer song if they album sticks that long. But even in the deluxe edition she mentions both ABBA and Ace of Base--there's a whole chunk with, I think it's Don't Turn Around's chord progression (I could be wrong, I never was a big AoB fan--odd given my love for Eurocheese)
Members Sylph
Lady Gaga has a song with Nicole Scherzinger? What?! And one with Rodney Jerkins called Reloaded. I don't see them in The Fame Monster, in any edition.
Members JackPeyton
Telephone is my fave track. Esp the Beyonce part. This is a fun party album. I have mix for the gym and for the partys with this album, LMFAO's and KE$HA's. Its pretty legit.
Members EricMontreal22
Ke$ha Sylph, Telephone (Which her and Beyoncejust shot the video for) is with Rodney J as well--haven't heard the other one--I don't think it was released. I believe she did a song for Nicole S's unreleased album (the one that some of became the last PCD album)--that was back when they were selling her songs to a variety of artists and not sure about releasing her as an artist. Of course she does have a song (with RedOne) and New Kids on the Block
Members JackPeyton
Kesha hate? this is not OK! I love how she keeps on breaking gaga's records she is setting, lol. I cant wait for the video for Telephone. Ugh, Nicole S is just bad. I seen her a few times, she really sucks without PCD behind her. I also like that Gaga & NKTOB song. Members EricMontreal22
Gaga was writing for PCD but i'm not sure anything got released--I don't think so yet anyway. But One Life isn't either: One Life is a song by No Angels. The song was mistagged as Lady Gaga featuring Nicole Scherzinger. The song was recorded sometime during 2008-2009, and appears on the album Welcome to the Dance. "On September 15, 2009, the song was posted onto YouTube under the mistag. The song was officially released on August 21, 2009, however, due to the lack of popularity, there was no connection made that the song belonged to No Angels. " Reloaded is one of dozens of leaked Gaga demos she decided weren't strong enough for the album--it is with Rodney J. Becuase of the leak and some fan reaction (I think it's pretty meh myself) it may be a bside on CD releases of Telephone as a single. She has another unreleased demo with him, Out of Control. JackPeyton, what records of Gaga's does Ke$ha keep breaking exactly?? I honestly think she's pretty much everything bad about Gaga, isolated and multiplied. Just awful, and an awful live performer.
