OLTL: Discussion for the week October 19

I had not considered the age difference as a reason that Real did not get the role. OLTL should consider recasting the role of Greg with Lamman Rucker who I find scrumptious and is quite talented. Although I still enjoy Greg and Rachel, Terrence Tilford's performance has been a disappointment.

Rex, Ryan, Zach, Nikolas and Patrick are all versions of the same guy who gets to screw around, the woman are blamed and eventually take them back. Overall, I still think that the men on OLTL are of better character and are nicer. When the cops are the good guys that is always praiseworthy in my book.

Real is cool, but he's not right for the Evans family. Real needs to be cast in an awesome Dominican/Puerto Rican/Afro-Cuban family on daytime. If we're talking Taggerts here, Matthew St. Patrick would have made for the better Greg.

Daphnee(# of e's?) DuPlaix is hot... are you all familiar with her, "*other*" work? HAHHHT.:blush:

Totally agree with both choices. Either one would be fantastic opposite Rachel.

I don't think we're supposed to like Elijah or Ross.

I think that we are supposed to like Elijah and Ross or at least be open to the possibility of liking them. Ross' affection for Blair, love for his daughter and the closeness of the brothers are all ways to sell them to the audience. Something bad may be planned for later on, but I don't see it yet.

Sky isn't going to win Gigi from Rex, but he will move out of their orbit like Brody did. Sky may end up with Stacy or someone completely new.

There are lots of good or not really bad guys as well as not a lot of sleaze on OLTL and I like that even though I find the overall show mediocre.

Tea is supposed to be our big heroine so if she says Ross is a bad man and a danger to the daughter, I guess we're supposed to agree with her.

They ruined Sky/Stacy a while back, and I'm not sure where else he could go.

OLTL does have some decent guys, but they usually don't really get the attention the others do. Rex and Todd are basically the show's ideal men.

I don't think we're supposed to like Elijah or Ross. The problem is that when Tea says, "I'm scared of Ross!" you almost have to laugh, because she has repeatedly moved heaven and earth for a man who beat her up and who also left her to die on the very island where their strangely old daughter was conceived.

maybe Im not recalling things but when did Tea say she was scared of Ross? She looks like she can handle him and has been prtty feisty and had the upperhand in her interactions with him so far.

I'm probably wrong, but I thought that's why she said she was hiding her daughter.

she said that Ross went crazy when she told him she wanted a divorce. He threatened to take Daniella and run. So she did it first before he could keep her from her daughter.

"Tea is supposed to be our big heroine so if she says Ross is a bad man and a danger to the daughter, I guess we're supposed to agree with her."

I see the character of Tea as an anti-heroine -- I very much like her but I think she has many more shades of gray than the average soap heroine. I also think the writing for Ross has been very sympathetic. I'm much more inclined to think he's in the right in regards to the daughter.
