The should have brought Floyd (hardened and tougher) back for a short run during Lisa's second run and have Stacey return. Did Stacey even know Floyd was her dad (probably never discussed as she was a kid when she was on last.)

Floyd regularly saw Stacey when she was young. What she would've understood at that young age...*shrug*

I still can't believe Stacey was never brought back, and AJ was little more than a blip. Of all the legacy children to ignore...*sigh*

More fantastic behind-the-scenes footage from Mitch, and this time with sound. What a find. Thank you again Mitch!

As far back as 1981, it began with Alan's affair with Rita Bauer. By the end of the year, however, Alan and Hope were back together. I know by 1983 Hope began drinking and that brought a huge wedge between Alan and Hope. However, Elvera Roussel supposedly wasn't too keen on playing an alcoholic Hope, so the "War of the Roses" Alan/Hope storyline never played out as they fired Roussel by November of 1983.

Curlee always wanted to write for a Nola type character...and I think that Stacy, a Chamberlin with a rich archeologist father (odd, on her return they always acted like Nola was..not rich...) who traveled the world, would be too sophisticated.

Instead of Drew (brought on with that dumb music producer storyline, connected to no one) they brought Stacy as Chele's rival. She would be a couple of years older and more wordly then Chele, and she has the Nola genes for subterfuge.

That was stupid..she cheated herself out of a career....(I actually don't think she could handle the acting challenge of playing a drunk.)

Well, he did become "J...no dot" under the acting of soon to be infamous George Pilgrim, and they threw him into a relationship with his (adopted) cousin...really Chele, the world is that small?  Then they recast with that bland pretty boy and there was a kinda triangle with him, his cousin, and an angel..so the character was doomed.

I have a feeling they were just looking for a reason to get rid of Hope anyway. It's telling that other than Charita, every Bauer actor was heading for the exit doors at the same time. They really must have thought they could just rebuild around Charita.

The only interesting thing about George Pilgrim was his TV Guide exit interview where he talked about what a big star he was going to be.

Ethan Erickson was perfectly alright, but they just never cared. I think they sort of started a relationship with Drew, but then he was written out. I can't remember if the actor wanted to leave.

I agree that a rivalry between Stacey and Michelle would have been more interesting.

And maybe have her initially stay in Springfield as Kelly Louise. She is hiding out, but as soon as Nola hears that name, she knows.

Thanks. I'd watched the first clip but not the second. And they even have a recap of the scenes from the wedding and tell us about what happened to the actors. Nice to see them treating GL, and its fans, with some respect.

Oh, I had a horrible vision of Bert, marrying H.B. and then becoming a "Lewis" and that would solidify them as the "core" family, and i would not put that past Kobe.

Erickson wanted to leave..Rauch told him they had story for him..(i.e. with Drew) but he wanted out. I don't blame him they wrote more for Pilgrim (who didn't know his claim to fame was going to be as the boytoy of Sumner Redstone's mistress! )and J. just stood around following Chele around who was running after that weird angel character.

A good intro for Stacey and an exit for Quint would be for for her to write to N & Q that she is seeing an older man. Nola is suspicious and they find out the older man is actually Quint's old enemy Silas Crocker...(maybe BH could be borrowed from ATWT for a bit) who is out for revenge..and eventually he and Quint struggle fall of a cliff and Quint dies a hero's death instead of just disappearing.

    • Good Morning, this is still funny to me but I totally enjoyed what makes up "DemetriKane" so unnecessary, who cares?!!! Glad you like the Emma Peel derivative story.
    • Christian Streaty penned today's Day's script. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christian-streaty/
    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
