You just posted these same links 2 hours ago!

I'm done being nice about this. You spam threads with endless links no one cares about, irrelevant walls of text longer than the Canadian border, random search strings, pointless anecdotes that add nothing to any conversation, post incorrect info on the daily, and bump years-dead topics to reply to what someone said in 2005, and then have the audacity to wonder why you're the only person who people are being short with! It's unbelievable!

Nobody is coming here to give you the attention you so obviously are desperate to receive. If you want to prattle on like this, start a Blogger account. You can copy/paste whatever you want there and post 45 times a day there. This is not the place.

I didn't realize I duplicated the Paley Center YT links. I had no idea you were trying to be nice. I don't think I am a spammer. I don't think I post pointless anecdotes, whatever that might be, I make errors sometimes and I correct them. I don't think I am being audacious about a handful of people being snarky. I just got a new soap opera book "Writing for Daytime Drama" by Jean Rouverol in the mail at mid-day and besides looking at that and watching DOOL live and being on the computer I was multi-tasking. And, last up, I am not here looking for attention.

You would've known you'd duplicated your post if you'd bothered to look.

You are ABSOLUTELY a spammer, particularly when there are threads where the last 40 (I'm not exaggerating) are JUST YOU copying and pasting random crap from who-knows-where.

The Jean Rouverol book is about three and a half decades old. We all know about it. Don't post about it here.

You inject yourself into literally every active topic and immediately kill any discussion by overwhelming it with the first thing that happens to enter your mind.

Just step away from the keyboard.

You certainly implied in the worst executive producer thread that Conboy and Weston had stuff to do with the Peapack days. You defended Wheeler's shoddy production values during Peapack and then went on to say, "the next part was learning how to write for the new structure. Which they very well did, but it took some time & part of that time was wasted having ConWest in place!" Sorry but that statement gives the impression that Conboy and Weston were still employed in 2008. They were gone by 2004 so how could their employment have had anything to do with the time to implement storytelling changes that occurred in 2008?

    • I stopped watching Another World in 1990. Simply, lost interest in the show.  I had watched the show from 1973 to 1990. The 90 minute show started the decline of AW.  NBC panicked with expanding AW due to the GH hoopla. As mentioned above, 1982 was a trainwreck for AW.  The introduction of the Shea family, the movie storyline involving Jamie, and Steve Frame favoring Rachel over Alice. The writers went into that direction due to the forgettable performance of Linda Borgeson.

    • Ive seen that theory thrown out but the one thing against it is that Leslie and her family lived in Chicago. She only came back to DC last year after her husband died. Unless they say Alan made a trip to DC and died while away, she wouldnt know about that. However I do think the angle of her finding out that Martin was involved could work as that gives her leverage against Bill too for covering it up. She'd want to get revenge on him by threatening to have him disbarred
    • What a good write-up @Errol! Nice seeing the nod to Duplaix's lead.
    • The Egypt location shoot was cancelled because of the Achille Lauro cruise ship hijacking

    • And, to me it is a little bit hilarious that AW fans all over continue to refer to it as Egyptian Dust Recently elsewhere I've been running polls. When did you stop watching AW or What storyline caused you to stop watching AW. You may be interested to know that sticking it out till the bitter end is winning by a landslide. Next highest vote getter is - no surprise - Frankie's murder. So that covers like 60% & next 20%. Then the votes drop way down to 10% and well below but a wide array of reasons are given, including but not limited to  Justine Lumina Rachel having twins at her age, how ridiculous Mac's death the 90 minute show firing JC, George R & Dwyer Hmm, I know there are a few more, in the 1%-3% range but I cannot think of what they are. Sorry, my bad. Should have made notes but I didn't know I would be posting about it. LOL!!
    • A kind angel has added both episodes to the vault (UK Diva TV broadcast version).
    • Yes, I think that is the most likely situation.  TPTB were unhappy with the offer(s) they got from the tourism board in Finland, and decided the trip was going to be too expensive for P&G/NBC to finance alone.   I would also speculate a similar situation likely occurred a few years later with the planned location shoot in Egypt, which was also cancelled after the storyline had already started, and changed to Arizona.
