July 19, 200916 yr Member Does anyone else listen to the Daytime Confidential podcast? I have been enjoying but I have to say I am so sick of Jamiey and Jillian hogging the podcast. They shout all over the others who never get a chance to contribute properly and if anyone should dare disagree with them...oy vey. Can they also just retire the "hello kitty" phrase - not funny anymore. I am listening to the We Love Soaps podcast which I think is excellent. Are there any other soap podcasts worth listening to out there?
July 20, 200916 yr Member I listen to it as well. I can't say that I mind Jillian that much, but Jamey on the other hand..... It seems he just likes to listen to the sound of his own voice, beacuse he's never quiet!! I'm so tired of him hijacking the show every time he's on and hardly letting anyone else get a chance to speak.
July 21, 200916 yr Member I dont mine Jillian either. The two that get on my nerves are Melody and Jamey- they both just butt and wont let anyone else talk and god forbid anyone disagree with them. Im not a big fan of Luke either I really like most of the other ones- especially Mike, Tina, and Regan.
July 22, 200916 yr Member C'mon y'all . . . these folks put their opinions out there every week for our entertainment. If you don't like it don't listen. I very much look forward to the podcasts coming out each week . . . and find that they voice, most of the time, what I'm thinking about the s/l on the shows. I mean, think about how you talk to your friends about the soaps . . . you probably end up sounding just like they do on the podcasts. THAT is why we love these shows because they rile us up a bit.
July 22, 200916 yr Member And I'm also loving the We Love Soaps podcast. I completely agree. Mike, Damon and Roger are doing some amazing things over there - Part One of the Lemay interview was fantastic! What a get - can't wait to hear the rest of it!

July 22, 200916 yr Member I loved what Harding said about the actors and how one time when he was in the control booth, I think he said it was Irene Dailey who looked into the camera, knowing he was there, and said "whatever the f.uck that means!" after reciting a bit of dialogue. He's so honest and well spoken...

Well last time I checked I was entitled to an opinion. Secondly I didn't say I dislike the podcast just that 1 or 2 of the people on the podcast tend to make it grating for the reasons I said. And lastly I also asked for suggestions of other podcasts that I can listen to and if I find something better then I will dump the DC podcast. Edited July 23, 200916 yr by daysgoby
July 24, 200916 yr Member I listen to that podcast for Jamey Giddens. I live for that mahogany god. He had me on the floor the other day gasping for breath. That's right, quote me, bitches: Mahogany God. Darn is going to be so upset.
July 24, 200916 yr Member Jillian and Jamey are my favorites and I'm not ashamed to say that. Jamey, especially, makes good comments IMO about what's wrong with daytime and I love it when he calls out Chuck Pratt. He and Jillian often make me laugh (I'm still laughing at Jamey's impersonation of MTS from a few weeks back). I don't particularly care for Tina or Regan though.
