I think Katherine has the right to feel that way, but do you really believe there is any chance at all that Jill can come out on top at this point in Y&R history? Maybe she isn't afraid, but she sure should be as far as I can see.

Jill and Victor have great enemy chemistry. I'd like to see them battle again. Once she finds out about MJ - speculation - she will finally have the goods to blackmail Victor - though it's inevitable that he'll crush her. Sigh..

And is it safe to assume that the Gloria/Victor deal is officially off? Meaning she will never get a dime of that money he promised her for the Jabot stock? But then again, Glo should have copy or something of the transaction for further proof that Victor got Ashley the boot from Jabot.

Can anyone get to the main page of the board where all the different sections are listed?

I keep getting this error.....

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4242551 bytes) in /home/soapoper/public_html/boards/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 533

While I'm here and there's Jill/Victor discussion...... ;)

So, I just watched the episode online. I'm mostly not interested in Daniel's travails, although Jana's history causing her to lose bail was interesting.

I loved Phyllis calling Nicholas out! She called it, on his constant "running away". I couldn't believe he was planning to lecture Daniel.

I'm trying to figure out Phyl's financial status. She married well -- three times. She also forged a successful career as a web designer. Putting it altogether, she should be loaded, no?

I guess I'm glad that Victoria's ongoing obsession (Heather Tom was introduced obsessing about Victor and Nikki's marriage from her Swiss dorm room, and little blonde Ashley was defending her parents' marriage against wicked witch Ashley) is coming back to the fore (this time, vis-a-vis Sabrina)...and that this is apparently creating cracks in her marriage to JT.

Hey JT! Colleen lives in that big ole' mansion down the street, and I think Mac's gonna be free!

ETA: I guess they got tired of paying "likeness" residuals to Raya Meddine...her picture and her statue disappeared on the same day!

Cashton I loved that clip so damn much, I was jumping up and down for joy. "It's not a threat... It's my personal guarantee," in her cold whisper. Wow. free-jumping-smileys-1029.gif

Whoa so many GREAT things in Tuesday's episode.

VICTORIA'S crawling out of the shell that was Fauxtoria, y'all. First, she yells at Victor for getting over Sabrina, then nearly shoulder's Ashley out of the way, then stares down JT with a "Don't 'Victoria' me!!"

I see the beginning of a beautiful beautiful renaissance. VICTORIA!!!!!! Like a phoenix rising out of the ashes... Yeah, it's the damn crate that caused it, clearly. There'll bring her to the doctor's and some lousy s/l will be brought from that but if she could remain a HBIC indefinitely after all those doctors test her, I'd love it. At this point, I'm desperate for anything to cause Victoria to be a HBIC again.

I wish I could get a 3 sec clip of EB mouthing: "What?" as AH storms out of the ranch. LOVED THAT!!

And Victor FINALLY getting over Sabrina. I wish they could explain his blindness towards Adam's schemes from either his epilepsy or his depression over losing Sabrina. Now that Victor's shut the door to that chapter, he'll see Adam for who he really is.

I actually enjoying the scoobies a bit today. I like how this is becoming something more serious, even though it's obviously drawn out of a shallow, dull place. Jana denied bail? She's GOT to get that brain tumor buzzing again. Inevitable death at the end of the year? And Daniel out trying to find the guy who's framing him with Amber may lead to something good

Hated hated hated the courtroom scenes. They were incredibly hollow. Vail is really bad as a lawyer. Someone give her another profession. I like her a lot more than Frantz. And she should be in scenes with EH, another buddy buddy duo with EH would be great. Frantz/Ford and Hendrickson/Bloom.

This is better than pouty, "I wanna have my baby and live in my brother's cottage with my boring lame hunky husband" at least.

Of course HT is Victoria. We know this. I think the majority of the board agrees. It was just refreshing to see a character behave the way they should behave, particularly a strong female character when there isn't any. And yeah, she wasn't as strong as HT, we KNOW. But the ferocity of Victoria was at least in the script, which I haven't seen on Y&R since HT left.

    • Heffa? Girl, bye? MONA!!!!!!!!!!! I'm rolling.
    • It was just inexcusable. SMH. I'm surprised Lisa Brown didn't change it somehow.
    • So many things would have had to be different for Mary to want to go back to Reginald. It could have been interesting if it had been handled completely differently but as it was we had a very black and white Mary good/Reginald bad. If she had been able to ignore his worldly crimes and how he treated his own children there was still the fact that he had separated her from her children. Maybe if they had shown us more intimacy and affection between them and had allowed him to have real vulnerabilities it could have worked but as it played out they didn't do much to present him with any sympathetic hook. There are a lot of ways to define wanting things to work. Fans are mostly thinking of preserving or restoring characters and an atmosphere that drew them to the show. The sponsor may only be thinking of the bottom line. When a producer or HW comes in and decides that their vision will deliver for the bottom line and they need to fire most of the cast in order to do it it can feel very much like not caring.
    • I remember this getting a lot of criticism at the time.
    • Maeve breaks me reading that letter. If you ever need to cry, look it up. Other than the dopey line about Henry wanting to come home to Van's rice (or tapioca) pudding (VANESSA CHAMBERLAIN DOES NOT COOK, Y'all...) it's a sweet sign-off to one of the best father/daughter relationships on soaps. Other than Ross, and Bill (if he says something, which I assume he does) and the letter, the rest of it is BS. I haven't watched it in a while, but it typifies what I dislike most about events that should be laden in history. The writers are too lazy to do the work and get it right. And it becomes about making sure characters X, Y and Z make their guarantees. Roger being there is an abomination. Henry never ever saw Nola as a gold-digger. She and Quint were practically engaged before he even knew Quint was his son. Before that, he was fairly close to Bea and enjoyed Nola's spirit. And Henry never helped Rick become an Eagle Scout.  I get that maybe you don't want to play Amanda#1 or Dinahs 1&2, or Billy, Trish or Alan #1 clips, but damn it....don't make stuff up. I'd have much rather watched clips from Henry, Vanessa and Ross' early days than Rick blather on, or nuMichelle try and dig for a human-like emotion or wonder why after TEN YEARS, Dinah and Quint have never met.   Do not remember anyone named Tina. I barely remember Dahlia, and that's mostly because for a while, I saw Sharon Leal in everything after she left GL.   Reva and Josh airhogs? ALWAYS, darling. ALWAYS. RME. I hate to tar and feather Robert Newman with that brush, but DAMN.
    • Oooooooooooooo a Jazmen script off of a Sara Bibel breakdown.    I'm intrigued. Lol. Yeah, one thing I can say for sure...when SilkPress is about to have a crazy moment, they do give her music.
    • I am so happy now. Reminds me of the 80s show I loved. Ron really did the cast and fans dirty. The only people complaining are those who only knew Ron and his whiplash plot driven stories
