Members Juliajms
How do you figure that? Bryton is no where near MTS's league. She is a lead. The only males on the show that compare to her are PB and EB. If those two aren't treated to the same strong armed tactics that MTS and JW faced, then the sexist argument is alive and well as far as I'm concerned. Members Antoyne
What an awesome episode. Finally Adam got some interaction with Nick..I think the last time they talked Nick punched him in the face? Looooooved the two psychos together. Members Juliajms
I can't agree with that. I think she has to take some sort of cut. If she isn't willing to make some sort of reasonable concession then I'm not on her side. But if she is willing to meet them half way and they are trying to make her take some kind of outrageous cut while PB and EB don't, then I'm definitely on MTS side. Members Juliajms
I think the last time they talked, Nick was about to bust Adam and Adam played him like a fiddle by pretending to fall. I agree with the person who said the Chloe/Sharon scenes were a ripoff. I wanted to see more of that confrontation as well.
Members Ann_SS
The sexist argument has validity, but the reality remains that Y&R has got to cut budget and they get to decide from where. Don Diamont was fired no so long ago. MTS is going to have to decide if what is more tolerable being unemployed or working. In this economy, so many people never had that choice so she is luckier than most.
Members classicmoment
If she wants to retire early from the world of soaps and not ride it out then the choice is already obvious. If it is not about the money and she understands this is a team effort to keep the genre going then make the right decisions, I'm just an outsider what do I know but for me it is really that simple. Can't feel sorry for her too much I highly doubt she's suffering either way
Members AllAboutAngst
I know, I've done a lot of gushing about her lately, but it's deserved, EH has been such a joy to watch the last two days. She has great acting chem with everyone, and her scens with Billy Miller have been made of so much win. Speaking of made of win scenes, MJ and Phyllis, love them. Well would you look at that, EB actually played a scene with MTS, and played it fairly well.
Members MarkH
Ah, someone "got it" during this episode Victor and Nikki Phyllis and Nikki Nick and Adam MIX IT UP. Play the people we care about. That's how it is done. I wonder why they are building Ashley-Olivia animosity...to isolate her further and put her more in Adam's orbit? Absolute agreement on the EH-love. It helps that Billy Miller's excellent portrayal of immaturity makes her look the Rock of Gibraltar in that relationship.
Members Juliajms
I like Chloe a lot, but I really love BM's Billy. He's made me forget anyone else played the character. Normally, it takes me several years to truly warm up to new people, but if they manage to keep him around I'll see him as a core character in a couple of more years. Members MarkH
Absolutely. I really liked David Tom...but I can buy this Billy. More great mixing on today's show. Nikki overhears Ashley talking to Sabrina. (Please please please don't let MTS leave. PLEASE) Nick confides in his father about his marriage (FINALLY) Jack and Billy...first conversation after the hurt. I bought Billy's contrition, and I bought Jack's steeliness. I also loved the contrast. Jack was guarded, but his advice to Billy came from a place of love...it was constructive...wanting to make things better. On the other hand, remember when Victor gave a similar "man up" talk to Adam in jail? "You listen to me!....You say you are Victor Newman's son! Start acting like it!". As much as I often don't like Jack (but think the world of PB), he's a better man than Victor. And, oh yeah...Phyllis is DEFINITELY a "happening chick". Members classicmoment
Part of what I love about Phyllis is that she is otherwise competent and confidently built character that all just falls short because of love and infatuation. Phyllis is simply a woman who loves HARD
