The Newmans are pretty soulless without Nikki in the mix. If she around, I might root for her over Adam, but I am not sure. I wish there were some genius motivation for Adam's actions. Like he wants to get rid of everyone in Victor's orbit because he wants Victor to himself, and we get a "Grey Gardens" Victor & Adam, where they live alone together in the mansion with no servants, everything falls apart, and they sink into a bizarre co-dependency.

I hate how they're downplaying the importance Jack had in Phyllis's life, just to pimp Nick and Sharon and even Nick and Phyllis.

Summer should be Jack's kid, or Phyllis should be the one knocked up with Jack's kid.

I'll never understand the dramatic value in making Summer Nick's spawn. Phyllis could have left Jack for Nick, but the dramatic value was in Summer being Jack's kid, thus tying them together for life.

Bergman and Stafford sparkle around each other. With Jack and Phyllis, you get the good, the bad, and the ugly. They're not afraid of who they around one another. They need to be reunited, they're a hell of a lot better outside of the Nick and Sharon universe.

Olivia is licensed to practice medicine ANYWHERE, she just didn't have priveledges at Genoa City Memorial... meaning she couldn't use thier facilities. So when she was making house calls, she was completely within her rights, she just needed permission from the hospital to see patients THERE.

I loved the scene where Phyllis says something like Nick is the love of her life and there was a little bit of hurt in Jack's eyes and Phyllis was apologizing.

Want I want is Summer to Jack's and Sharon's new baby to Nick's (to fulfill Cassie's prophecy). :)

I love Jack and Phyllis together and have always wished that Summer had been Jack's. When it comes to Nick and Sharon there are times when I absolutely hated them together, and at times I still do. I wish a new man would come to town and have the hots for Sharon, because I'm tired of seeing her bounce between Nick and Jack.

Honestly it would be refreshing if they wrote Sharon as a single mother who decided she didn't have time for men in her life for awhile and wanted to focus on her baby. Of course people in hell want ice water too....

I liked the scene, but it made me want to rip my hair out. Nowhere in hell do Nick and Phyllis have half the depth to their relationship that Jack and Phyllis had. Jack helped her and bettered her life in ways that Nick will never be able to. Yes, Jack and Phyllis had their problems, but they were never afraid to confront those problems, like Nick and Phyllis are.

There's too many DNA reversals already on this show. Jack and Phyllis need a child later down the road, when they reunite. :)

Hey MarkH, no matter what the others said, I think your analysis is right on the money. I completely agree with your description of Jack's 'love' for Sharon. I wish the writers aknowledged it too.

Remember, it was Lily who prompted Devon into thinking it was ok for Neil to be with Tyra.

Lily who can't make a good decision to save her life. Who married a dude twice her age that she knows nothing about. I'm sure pardoning Neil and Tyra was intentional but we all know it ain't gon' last.

I'm so glad they brought up Devon's past. This solidifies his character a bit, someone who's so much more real than just about everyone on Y&R.

And I kind of like where this is going, with the Daddy search. It's been done a billion times and the set up was just as weak as Daniel's lame-ss FBI story, but I like that Devon gets his own time to shine. He hasn't in years. And I don't even like Bryton that much.

    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!
