Members Juliajms
Damn. You are making it sound like she is already out the door.
Members Cashton
AHHH! You're right! With the news that MAB wrote an exit story for her, I guess i took that to mean she is gone, but you're right - we gotta have hope!
Members Y&RWorldTurner
If they're under contract and have contract cycles, I don't think that would be the case. They'll get paid regardless of how many breakdowns/scripts they write.
Members Juliajms
I just cannot accept this until I hear it from an official source. I can't and I won't.
Members MarkH
At a minimum, I see this as a repeat of one of her last contract signings, where she's gone for a few weeks/months. The same thing happened with Braeden,Case, Woodland (yech). Heather Tom famously left. Even if this is an extended absence, there is little doubt that Nikki could return some day. Heck, we saw it when Eileen Davidson was fired. Still, this is a sad day. But MTS can now play Beth Logan, and that is a silver lining (Yes, she's too young to be KKL's mom, but I don't give a sh!t. LAD is too young to be JW's mom, so what is the point?)
Members Sonja Witthaus
I will really miss Melody Thomas Scott she is my favorite actress on the show. Give her a fair deal.
Members MarkH
And, picking up the theme of this thread, make sure she is reasonable about the deal she can expect in the new economy. Please, immovable object, meet irresistable force...but have a gentle outcome.
Members ReddFoxx
I think she'll be back, because a reduced paycheck is better than nothing at all.
Members Scryber96
I know you have your heart set on this, but if Y&R can't afford her, what makes you think B&B could?
Members Cashton
I know why! Cause................
Members Scryber96
Except that's not how it works. Current Guild minimums for a daytime breakdown are $1,863 and $3,275 for a script. It's right there on the WGA website. Actors and actresses have contracts and cycles as well, but they still get paid by the episode.
Members Bright Eyes
NO! When Days hopefully gets canceled soon-ish, B&B will be smart and hire Suzanne Rogers as Beth. That's my dream.
Members Juliajms
Not if you are already rich as Croesus and don't need the money. Then respect and prestige play a bigger role in your decisions than money.
