Members DRW50
Thanks. That's fascinating. Keller/Beecher. I was a big fan of theirs about ten years ago. And then that great triangle with Brian Bloom which had so much potential.
Members Gilbert
Yes Carl, they were great. I own the whole series on DVD and love to watch it -- at least the whole series once every 3 months. The triangle with Brian Bloom should have lasted longer. They blew a big chance there.

Members Gilbert
Here is something I found that Steve posted over at SoapsWEB: Victoria Wyndham is just one of my favorite actresses in the history of soap operas. I loved her on both GL and AW. I was one of the ones who felt no one could replace Robin Strasser as Rachel but Victoria Wyndham did a wonderful job and actually became my favorite Rachel. I love Robin but I don't think she could have played the transformation of Rachel as well as Vicky did. Here are clips of her 25th Anniversary episode on Another World. Members OldSchoolSoapFan
Here is a scene from 1980 from my collection--with Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory) and William Gray Espy (Mitch Blake): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knt_aw0D9yU
Members SFK
Ah yes, this is Walter and Lenore's wedding where Rachel met Steve for the first time at the reception and bells started going off.
Members DRW50
That clip with Mitch and Rachel was good, Espy was so gorgeous. That clip gets very intense near the end. I often wonder if one of the reasons AW lost viewers in that era was because they still had the characters in those long, deep psychological conversations, endlessly. The weird thing with Alice and Rachel is that Robin Strasser was so delicate while Jacqui Courtney was kind of butch. I wonder if that helped make the triangle more of a success, the sort of role reversal in actresses.

Members Gilbert
I have dreams about GH sometime so don't feel bad. Of course your dream sounds like it is nice. My dreams about GH esp. in regards to Steve Burton are usually very naughty. LOL

Members bellcurve
I just watched the recent upload of AW to Hulu and man...it was a bit of a chore to sit through. I didn't pay attention to the writer credits, but noticed that Casey Childs directed and I guessed him the moment I saw camera sweep from Paulina's date with the DA to Vicky/Ryan. It so seemed his style. I hate that he's reduced to being all about gimmick instead of conveying story these days(as evident in his AMC directing). Also, I never quite understood the Jensen Buchanan hate...until I watched Anne Heche play Vicky on Another World. Jensen's Vicky was a completely different character altogether. It was almost like she was trying TOO hard to be Vicky, i.e. Laura Wright Syndrome. It's not difficult to see why they Marley-fied her over the next couple of years. And Jesus, can we just skip to the JFP years already? The production values are just completely horrendous.
Members JackPeyton
LOL, i am like three months behind on AW on Hulu, but i agree about the production. On one hand though, it matches NBC Daytime, lol.
