The look on Nicole's face omg!

If I was Nicole... Caroline should already book her plane ticket out of the country.

I'm sure that Nicole can best Caroline in a fight. I think she's really a scrappy dame. Cass has no idea what is about to hit his new friend.

Caroline doesn't stand a chance. Oh, I hope she gets her karma.

What is it about broads like Caroline? Girls don't like her. Men have no idea what she's about.

I've also read a rumor that Swajeski basically wrote the first couple of years off of a bible Lemay had submitted when he was hired.

I would like to know what Lemay had planned to reunite Mac and Iris after it was revealed that Iris was The Chief.  Clearly, Mac featured heavily in Lemay’s bible since no one accounted for Douglass Watson’s death.  That Red Swan story was all Swajeski.

Well, I've often wondered who funded the takeover, given Evan and Caroline's other schemes.  Perhaps Iris would've gotten in over her head and needed to ally with Mac in order to save Cory from being run by mobsters? It's not very “Lemay”, but I could see a common cause repairing the rift.

Lemay and Rauch have always struck me as very unreliable in how they recount their time on the soaps. They seem to paper over a lot of the mistakes and bad behavior they engaged in (especially Rauch). Has Swajeski ever spoken about her time on AW? I wouldn't trust her much either, but it would be interesting to get another perspective.

Re: Sam. He was written more creepy and aggressive especially once Charles Grant's Evan arrived on the show. It felt like the show was building to a possible abuse storyline, but then RKK left.

She's a failed vixen, that's what she is. For 3 months all I've seen her do is flirt with taken men. And in the end all she consumes is Iris's scraps when Evan has some time to kill before Iris calls back. She and Evan are two of a kind.

I would never put Pete & Paul in the same category. They worked together fairly well. But, they were so different. Pete was not in any way like Paul was in some disturbing ways. Pete didn't harass anyone or be accused of things that Paul was accused of. I'm not suggesting that Paul was all wrong. But he did have his moments. I'm not aware of any bad behavior on the part of Pete Lemay. I'm also not saying that he was a perfect person. We know he had an ego. Most HWs do. They both were hard workers & they truly cared about the show. Now I'm sure I sound like this apologist. Talking about this stuff at all is murky. I'm sure they did their best. They together went to many shows & they tried to cast people that they saw in the live theatre. It gave AW its kind of unique showplace. They thought they had better actors. Of course when everyone was a half hour show, many daytime actors were also in the theatre.

There was a time when Evan appealed to Amanda. Of course she was a married woman. He openly courted her. I know you find Sam to be annoying, but he wasn't wrong about Evan when it came to Amanda. Evan pretended to be Amanda's friend. Evan was too much of a snake to really be her friend.

Oh, I would never prefer Evan over anyone... Evan is the lowest of the low. Right now he is working under Iris's orders to seduce Amanda and ruin her marriage. I've noted that many times in my commentaries. Sam is absolutely not wrong about Evan, even though he hasn't commented on him much YET... but he was wrong to act hysterical and punch the guy that Amanda openly told him beforehand that she is meeting only for a research project. That was stupid and infantile of Sam to do. Yeah, I get it, it may look cool and macho, but it's... also corny.

I get that. I wasn't confused about what you were annoyed with Sam about. I was reaching. But the show is not there yet. So in that way I jumped the gun.

And don't get me started on that spoiled brat nepo baby Amanda. She really gets on my nerve when she starts demanding things of her parents. She never really appreciates what Rachel and Mac do for her. Maybe it's my lack of prior viewing that makes me experience her like this, but that's how it is. I'm watching with virgin eyes and lack knowledge of past history. I admit my impressions are probably off and that's cool. I still have time to change them along the way. But for now...  I find Amanda the typical rich-first world problems-princess. Don't get me wrong - I kinda like her that way. I don't like to relate to everyone and I like the characters to irritate me at times - it means they are making me feel emotion. She is not a bad person, but she comes off spoiled, ungrateful and also gullible and easily manipulated (we saw that with Iris... who won her over with few fake compliments and a job offer. AFTER her OWN MOTHER asked her not to trust Iris)

And... Sam... is the type of guy that would have probably made me fall in love when I was in my early 20s. That's why I find him corny and stand-offish. Mr. Big Artiste... that is scrabbing bizarre portraits of babies... and his mother in law buys him a gallery. Then he acts like HOW DARE you give me a gallery... B-tch, appreciate what Rachel gave you, because you are no Michelangelo. The biddies at the gallery opening shared my thoughts, as I recall - they were not impressed. Also... people should not feel guilty that they are rich and powerful while you are not. And it's something he constantly gaslits Amanda into experiencing guilt about. If he wants to be poor and unsuccessful - let him. That would be so easy.

😂

I can't wait to see how it unfolds.  ❤️

I always found it curious that Another World hired two Australian actresses simultaneously: Carmen Duncan and Joy Bell, who played the role of Caroline. With Iris suddenly sporting an Australian accent thanks to Duncan’s casting, I often wondered if Caroline was going to be related to Iris. For instance, a long-lost daughter?

Interesting idea. Very soapy. And btw, at the time of my watching... both characters are doing the same thing at the moment - persuading taken men.
