OLTL: Dropped stories

I used to love watching reruns of ["Soap"].

Yeah, me, too.

Too bad even "Soap" would be more enjoyable than OL right now.

(Seriously, David, you must write that soap parody.)

It could be worse.

It could be GH.

What we need is a "OLTL: Burning Questions" thread for all this kinda crap. I seriously walk away from an episode with about 10 basic logic questions that have NO answer.

Ha ha...maybe we should submit those questions to that section of the ABC Hotsheet spoilers. But we'd probably lose out to question about what kind of drapes Starr has in her bedroom or why girls think Brandon Buddy is so hot.

Will I get in trouble for this?

I heard something about how Natalie and Jared's wedding was to be a launching pad for a ****load of stories hitting OLTL, but someone (*cough* *cough*) nixed the idea.

Damn that mother Chucker <_<

Markko is so much hotter.

The same can be side about the hot Brittany Underwood and the so-so Kristen Alderson. ;)

Yes!

No matter which way you look at it.....Langston and Markko are just that much hotter. :)

why girls think Brandon Buddy is so hot.

Well, I can't speak for the gays girls, but I know his "Wolfman" eyebrows just creams my corn! ;)

I don't think BB is hot (Marrko is hot, even if he has a somewhat rubbery face), but I enjoy his attempts at acting. He brings the intensity in a way which is ridiculous but somehow fits his character and story, which puts him above several other OLTL leading men at the moment. He's almost singlehandedly made Cole's baby woe/Starr woe/drug frenzy watchable.

To this day, I don't really understand what Mitch being Rex's father does for future story. It's about as monumental as Talia being Carlo's daughter. It gives you a couple good episodes, and then it's like "Okay - so what?"

Maybe I'm missing the big picture, because a lot of people on here were really excited about Rex being Mitch's kid. Can someone explain to me what it gets us, story-wise, because it still just seems like a big ol' "meh" to me.

ETA: This isn't me being all I'm-right-and-you're-wrong-and-I-dare-you-to-prove-otherwise. LOL! I genuinely want to know because I'm not getting it.

Well, it doesn't really do ANYTHING if they can't nail down Mitch as a longterm character, which is likely why it hasn't been pursued. But if they can get a successful recast and reinvent Mitch as a serious threat to the Buchanans, you've got years of story to tell. Rex's allegiance to the Buchanans versus his deep-seated daddy issues would be very interesting to see pull off. Kind of like what they COULD have done with Alan-Michael on GL with his Bauer/Spaulding ties.

I suspect that Talia's Carlo connections were originally supposed to lead up to something bigger, too, but for whatever reason that story was aborted after her paternity was revealed.
