No, I'm sure they think they're still fooling the audience. So, if I were you, when they do reveal who she is, just act surprised.

:lol::lol::lol: This post? LOVE.

I don't care how they do it, I just want Stacy Haiduk to stay.

Speaking of terrible hair, Mac's forest o'hair extensions need to go. It's not Mac and it doesn't suit CF.

The Mac-Billy kiss was hot, though. I think because of the way Billy kissed her.

Me too. Making her Patty would make it much easier to have her stay on canvas. If she was some other character, she would be turned into a psycho and eventually be killed off... and now I'm getting AMC rewrite flashbacks. I need to forget about that.

Exactly. After the Paul scene, I think they know most of the more astute viewers will guess it. And those who aren't as knowledgeable about Y&R history (newer viewers, who aren't on the internet) can still keep guessing.

pretty much.

and yes the story is somewhat who is this mary jane? but IMHO right now its much more about mary jane/whoever she really is as a character. establishing her. showing her sdes and layers and depth. shes far from some villian of the moment, and the story also is about victors plan to hurt jack.

when it comes out that mary jane is patty/whoever then they can play that beat. but the overall focus of the story isnt who is this women?

and i really dont think they are trying to fool us and dont expect us to know who she is, Y&R isnt about shock. its about character. and they are doing it well!

Unless, of course, the expectation was not to have us suspect she's Patty, but that she could be one of a number of women Paul, Victor, and even Jack have tangled with before. ;)

Not necessarily. She still could be Patty, and she still could go completely psycho and get killed off in the end. IMO, the fact that she would be Paul's sister and Heather's aunt guarantees nothing.

I may giving them too much credit but i dont think they think that we are that stupid.

The women, from the Paul scene, would have to be someone Paul has a connection with that has reason to go after Jack. Who, aside from Patty, would that be?

Total word. :)

There are a lot of viewers out there who don't even know who Mari Jo or Patty or Diane or Isabella even are. And viewers who know who Isabella and Diane are, but not Patty and Mari Jo, or any combination of the above. So for them, there will be an added surprise whenever this gets revealed. And for those like the people on this board who have watched Y&R for years, there's just another dimension to the story.

    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
