Members MarkH
Did anyone see this? Anyone have a link? The fragment I've read says that "GL was cancelled when its white(?) viewers started having problems of their own". Surely that's a misprint. What was said? Members MarkH
What does the "white" have to do with it?
Members Darn
Well, it was a joke. I assume they're assuming the majority of GL's viewership is white and with the economic crisis they realized they had problems outside of Reva and Josh. Members All My Shadows
Uhhhh...... .......and when does SNL get its cancellation notice?

Members Y&RWorldTurner
For real, this show hasn't been funny since like the mid-90's.
Members MarkH
The ever reliable Roger Newcomb now has a roundup of the SNL joke, the Letterman joke and the Mike&Mike joke. Sigh.
Members DRW50
Geez SNL just sucks these days. That type of smirky, glib, brainless humor is exactly what is wrong with modern comedy. And since when are soaps the home of white viewers? SNL isn't exactly diverse.
Members CSF
  Or when NBC decides to move it to an earlier time period like they are doing with the Tonight Show, because that is going to solve all their problems.
Members MarkH
Exactly...this is why I have been asking. Because on paper, the joke doesn't work. What does "white" have to do with it? As we know, African American viewers are a significant portion of the audience. If they had said "old" viewers, that would also have been offensive, but it would have worked better...because of GL demos. But this? Makes no sense. Members jcar03
They aren't moving The Tonight Show. It will stay at its time period with new host Conan O'Brien. Jay Leno is getting a new show that will be on at the earlier time.
Members ReddFoxx
That joke was an epic failure.
