Actually they were both bad. I remember reading almost every spoiler during 2007 and just knowing it will be a flop. And it was, IMO.

I just love it when they try to keep things hidden and then surprise us with it.

I mean, you read a spoiler like 'Jack is Summer's real dad' and you think to yourself, "this could work".

But I agree the execution was all wrong, and the majority of good ideas were scrapped after they struggled to tie everything together with that damn reliquary.

It does look like the show is trying to evolve the role to fit Tammin, an actress in her 20's who has had over a year to fit into the role, so I think the actress playing Eden should be allowed some time to fit into her role. I actually liked Tammin this week, but she was pretty weak for much of her time on screen. Christel Kalil has been on for years and yet I don't see her improving at the rate I think she should after so many years and so many stories. It's just too early to tell how bad or good the actresses who play Eden and Abby are although for me Abby seems the far weaker actress at this point.

The actress playing Eden has been on the show less than two months and she has not recieved heavy play. She just turned 16 in real life and plays an irritating character. Noah is the chosen child being a Newman and Eden is one of those Baldwins, so she has a tougher job.

I think what I like with Eden and Noah's story is that the young man playing Noah is quite a find. He has really impressed me this week. The second thing I enjoy, another poster stated above. I like to see Bregman/LeBlanc playing this happily married couple who have had this irritating teen dumped on them and they are struggling to become a family. It shouldn't be easy and it isn't. Eden is very difficult and Michael and Lauren don't have all the answers and are making mistakes, but they are dealing with this together. It's a pretty realistic story which fits in with Lauren and Michael, who play the most realistic couple on the show.

Half the time, Noah just seems to be used as an excuse for Sharon and Nick to get together to drive Phyllis nuts, but the fact that they lost Cassie would make them overprotective and I can see why they are that way. They are setting up nicely, conflict between Sharon and Nick and Michael and Lauren as well as developing the young romance of Noah and Eden.

If this was just a teen storyline, I would probably FF, but I like how we are seeing these parents deal with tough issues.

She has had some good scenes that I have liked this past week or so, but that is a long way from the show striking a gold mine. She needs to prove herself in a longer story and maybe they will give her that but Tammin has to prove it. This is the first time I have seen her step up. Now let's see if she can sustain it.

On the accent issue, to me if she has chosen to play an American she needs to work on her American accent. And her accent is not consistant and it should be at this point. The problem with the accent is that it makes people feel like they are watching Tammin not Colleen when she pronounces words in her native accent.

Traci never dealt much with Gloria, at least not the way Jack and Ashley have. She tolerated Gloria for John's sake, but after he died, she was civil to Gloria, but you could tell she didn't like her. Like in November when the Abbot's had their breakfast, and Gloria popped in to say she had to leave to Katherine's will reading and Traci said sarcastically, "Well, don't let us keep you."
