AMC got a new hospital set last year and it looks amazing. I hope GH's looks good as well

I don't get something. How can the "big round nurses' station" be a thing of nostalgia if it is still being used? That doesn't make sense.

LOL. I chalk it up to poor word choice. I mean, c'mon, this is "Now as I was saying..." JFP. It was to be "expected."

I took it to just mean that it is a connection to the past and a longtime comfy tradition.

Jill's comments ,and the artice in gerneral, give the inpression that the hospital set has been pretty much the same since 1963.

I know Gloria Monty did a COMPLETE revamp when she came on the show in 78.

Does anyone know how often the set has been updated since?

I hate it when TPTB show they know and care less about the show than the viewers.

Chip Dox worked on Days back in the 80's.I remember his name from when The Body Connection gym set was intriduced around 81.

The impression I got from what she was saying was just that the nurses station has had a big half-circle-like style since 1963, not that the set has been literally the same.

And GL is not falling further and further behind, LOL, not with its current run of good writing. A set isn't going to get me to watch GH again, and the change to the nurses station may even drive me further away.

I'm really going to miss that set.. I'm not really into this idea.

Me too. I'm all for updating things, but I feel like this is taking away whatever heart is left in GH. I suspect the new set will look a lot like the Night Shift Season 2 set - which I don't really like.

I was surprised that the news was on the AP and on CNN. I don't mind a new set, but the old one was fine with me. Does this mean that there will be a bigger emphasis on the hospital now instead of the mob?

Nah, they'll just shoot them and they'll die in the hospital instead of alleys and streets.

Yeah, I kinda imagine that, if anything, the new set is going to signify the hospital being featured even less. The whole thing about "space" just screams that they want to make the hospital smaller so that they can build more parks and churches to have shoot-outs in. Perhaps a daycare center?
