I could see MTS not submitting either, she'll never win (due to her not being well liked outside of a circle of friends) so I think she figures what's the point...Jess Walton, for sure, did NOT submit her name, her attitude is that she's won twice and that others should have their shot.

Judith Chapman is either a dead lock to win or a dead lock to lose. I don't know how well she's liked in the business but she's been at it for a loooong time.

I have always gotten a vibe that Eric much prefers Eileen Davidson to Melody as well.

And as far as Chapman- I think the Emmy may be between her and Susan Haskell (I have also heard great things about Debbie Morgan) I think Chapman's acting style will appeal to many and turn off many. She chews scenery, spits it out, eats it again, spits it out and repeats. I feel the same way. I can totally see her taking it. I can see her not.

She thrives on the high, teary drama. She is not my cup of tea.

MTS is similar to Lucci, she's professionally charming...but I wouldn't use the word 'aloof' for MTS...take aloof and then multiply it once and you've got MTS. She's well liked and she's easy to work with, but she doesn't socialize and doesn't give a moment's notice to any of the younger cast.

MTS's circle of friends are Peter Bergman, Eric Braeden, Jess Walton, Jeanne Cooper, Sharon Case and Doug Davidson...all long time cast members. She's the kind of person who doesn't warm up to people quickly.

I pretty much agree with that.... she puts up a facade I think for sure....... but when she won the emmy THAT was genuine. You can't fake that.... lets not kid ourselves Susan Lucci is no Jess Walton or Erik Sleasak.... that speech was not acting, that was true, sincere emotion. God I gotta go watch that on youtube and probably cry! LOL.

Lucci comes from the same school of thought as Barbara Walters: everything should be perfect, everyone should get along (or at least appear to) and it's essential to be gracious and lovely and wonderful at all times.

She's absolutely rehearsed, and her signature "Thank you VERY much!" has been done a million times as you point out...but Lucci is a star, think of it, nobody in daytime has had the level of sustained fame that she has had. Nobody. Not Tony Geary and Genie Francis, not Deidre Hall, not Kim Zimmer, not Eric Braeden, not anybody. Lucci is the single most famous person in daytime, she's been profiled by 20/20...she's hosted Saturday Night Live...she's on HSN and infomercials everywhere and she's STILL famous, she's STILL the top draw no questions asked superstar in this business.

She's sort of like HM the Queen, perfectly choreographed, it's not even second nature. It IS her nature.

And about Sarah Michelle Gellar...think of Sarah like Rosie O'Donnell and then think of Susan like Barbara Walters. One is all about keeping up appearances while the other wouldn't mind imploding the artifice. That was their problem.

The ATWT murder mystery is scaring me because Jade's name is not in that mix when she has been interacting so much with the teens since she's been back. Surely she's not being killed off or suspected of being a killer again? Please no to either.

ATWT seems written on the fly and week to week sometimes, so I doubt they have even fleshed out the track of their Damian story yet ... I believe Nelson has to just be joking about being told the story would suck and fans would hate it. I also don't believe that Paolo Seganti would have agreed to come back without some kind of idea of a story that he would approve of, not hate.

This is the biggest load of crap I've ever read in recent memory. Who is exactly is this high-level CBS source? Sounds fishy since as I recall, no one at P&G or CBS on the east coast would give him the time of the day because of his endless yellow journalism, rumor-monger, and half-truth spewings. He burned the bridge with Miss Bloom, P&G and CBS from his diva-like tactic and he continues to cross the line of attacking people in the industry personally which is extremely unprofessional in my book. Other soap blogs need to stop paying attention to his site and giving him credit to his pure speculations to generate shocking headlines on their site, it is truly not doing any justice for anyone. It is rather sad.
