All My Children, A/ABC — Behind-the-scenes shake-up in the works

• Lisa de Cazotte is moving to New York City to join the production team, as The Suds Report hinted last week. It is rumoured that the former Passions and Night Shift producer will take over as executive producer on AMC. This news is also another indication that SOAPnet has no plans to renew GH: Night Shift for a third season. Oh, and can someone remind me again — who is AMC’s current executive producer?

Nelson didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. Did his "source" dry up? LOL Cause he's been getting his info from SOW, DC and other places for awhile now

I want JHC gone as EP from AMC. She sucks. Period. She is visionless and has no backbone.

As for Vanessa Marcil....Are you coming back or no? GOSH!

The blind items are what's intriguing me...

SOAP OPERA MYSTERY HOUR: This week’s hottest blind items

—Which east coast soap starlet refused to work opposite her gay and black co-stars? She was quickly recast, despite the fact that viewers began to fall for her portrayal of the character.

—Which east coast Emmy-nominated actress was almost strangled after getting into a fight with her co-star? There was even an AFTRA investigation (she accused him of strangling her). The popular actor was soon fired. The role has been recast three times and is now being played by a west coast star.

—Which popular soap star has to go around his PR department secretly to get press in the mainstream media?

—Which married couple is about to announce they are divorcing — again?

A random guess is that the first one is Amber Childyrs (ex Colby, AMC), she's the only one who fits the bill of being recast after being paired with a black love interest, and that the second could perhaps be related to Hunt Block (ex Craig, ATWT), as the role has been recast three times since he played the role; Jeffrey Meek, Scott Bryce and now Jon Lindstrom, who was previously on West Coast soaps General Hospital and Port Charles. Still, I wonder who the female co-star would be? Cady McClain? Jennifer Ferrin?

The other two are a total mystery to me.

These two blind items were doozies and have excellent clues. Let's guess!!

Also, did Night Shift look as cheap as GH And AMC do?

I am curious if this gal can improve AMC's look..

In story news, Marcus proposes to Steffy. Translation: We’re out of story ideas, once again! Whenever a storyline is headed nowhere fast, a couple will tie the knot or divorce on this show. Or die in a car crash.

Kind of a twisted family tree relationship. Her father is married to his aunt (Ridge/Brooke).

They're getting away with a lot of these since Ridge isn't really Eric's son. If he was, then Marcus' mom would be married to Steffy's grandfather.

None of the ABC EP's have any vision IMO. They're basically in name only and this new person would be as well, especially with Pratt having a producing credit

I always beg to differ when someone says this. lol. ABC's EP's have a little too much vision. They are allowed to make stupid decisions that make fan's angry like killing Dixie off, or giving Thorsten Kaye AMC on a gold platter.

I thought the same thing. I never really understood why they kicked Ambyr to the curb just when she finally seemed to find her stride. This would explain a lot because lets face it, until the Hubbards came back she never had to deal with any black people on the show. I won't even try to figure which actors on the show are gay.

Head writer Ron Carlivati is certainly — and wisely — taking our criticism of the rapemance seriously. This week, Todd tries to commit suicide at Marty’s request.
I'm not even going to try to figure out how Nelson thinks the suicide plot point translates into Ron taking criticism seriously.

This just scares me to no end. That's the type of thing that should've made the press and resulted in criminal charges. Actors put up with a lot of boundary violations but assault? Absolutely not.

I dont either, but If Ron is going with Todd being mentally unstable and broken down after years of torment, abuse, and outcastness( is that a word? :)), then I think it will be one hell of a story.

Yes it would. But I don't believe that's where this is going. I think there's a "Who shot Todd?" mystery coming.

Me either, it'll give me a headache if I do. Nelson acts like a Carlavati fangurl

Beg to differ all you want, but it doesn't make me believe it. LOL you think killing off Dixie was Carruthers? It was ALL Frons, no doubt about it. Like I said, EP's have little to no power. I doubt Phelps has much power, from what's been said on this very board, she's in name only.

Yep. And I've read before Jacob Young wasn't sad to see her go either.........

I doubt it'd be Cady, seeing as they dated for awhile after they left the show.

The couple divorcing again could be Kyle Lowder and Arianne Zurker.
