Members DramatistDreamer
So now, it's being revealed that just days ago Comey requested more resources ($$$ and personnel) for the ongoing FBI investigation of the Russia/Trump ties.

Members marceline
They had no business inviting that vapid trick to speak at an HBCU. I'm proud of the students for protesting in a way that didn't give her the chance to play a free speech victim.
Members DramatistDreamer
Omorosa was also there and got booed for filth. I'm glad I never had such horrendous people at my graduations. Oh by the way, did anyone hear about the journalist who was arrested for asking a Trump cabinet member a question? I believe the reporter's name is Dan Heyman. Even though I'm enjoying their absences from this thread and I probably shouldn't even ask but where are those Trump trolls that usually lurk about? Don't they have anything to say about this latest Trump Garbage Fire? Edited May 10, 2017 by DramatistDreamer

Members marceline
Apparently Bernie's revolution didn't take in Omaha. Heath Mello lost the race for mayor of Omaha. As one of those dreaded pragmatists, I'm sad because any Dem is better than a Republican but the neo-liberal, corporate shill in me is happy to see the myth of Sanders as kingmaker take a hit. But don't cry for Bernie, he's taking his book tour to the UK.
Members Juliajms
^You'll be happy to know Bernie hurt more than he helped. Like I mentioned before, Jean used that endorsement to trash Mello in her ads. 'Socialist Bernie Sanders endorses my opponent. That's not Nebraska values'.
Members DRW50
But Bernie appeals to people in the heartland because he talks in the way elites don't! (I should add I do think the elites don't know to handle those voters and I hope someone on the left eventually learns) This is the type of thing that just annoys me. It just IMO comes across as more of the insecurity and refusal to admit to ever not being right about something that colors this administration. John Oliver's reach is obviously limited, given who we have in office, but they can't even say his show likely had something to do with their site going down? Maybe they're right, but... http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/05/john-oliver-net-neutrality-kimmel-colbert-late-night-politics-impact In a statement, the F.C.C. said that John Oliver’s call to action did not crash its website—and that, instead, the site crashed because of a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack that happened to begin soon after Oliver’s broadcast.
Members DramatistDreamer
If the FCC had any sense at all, they would've blamed it on Oliver. DDoS means that the FCC's security measures are not up to snuff. Tell me, which is worse? Some zealous Oliver fans or the fact that the goverment's website doesn't have its sh*t together? This is the personification of the Trump administration, so quick to save face that they make statements that are full of hubris.
