Dear God... why does nearly everyone I like turn out to be such ignorant assholes? I really hate politics sometimes. Everyone is really showing their ass since the whole Charlie Kirk incident went down.

Yeah, this whole situation has been so eye opening. I've hit that unfollow button more times I can count.

It's nice seeing them demask themselves, because some of them were really hidden.

Yeah I think it's time for me to start unfollowing some people. I am not going to tolerate this crap.

Washington Post fired its only Black fulltime columnist . . .

For the record. My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers. I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

The amount of people in all walks of life who have been fired in the past week... for making comments about Charlie Kirk that didn't praise him.
Serious dictatorship vibes.

The pitchbot doing their wonderous snarking here ...

If someone’s not mourning the death of Robert Redford in a manner that’s consistent with your views, make sure you set up a database, call their employer, and get them fired.

It's actually a bit frightening to see the speed and ease with which Trump and his cronies are dismantling the institutions of government, the free media and really the fabrics of society. The damage they do will be incredibly hard to repair. And it makes me wonder if it could happen here as well, or maybe I should say would it be as easy here? I never would have thought something like this could happen here, but I never thought it could happen in the US either, so why would we be immune? Especially since many of the opinions MAGA followers express are growing stronger here too. There are people here too who think that Trump is great and who blindly regurgitates all his vile opinions.
