Trump Inauguration Ratings: 24.6 Million Viewers, Down From Both 2021 and 2017

Ratings

I'm sure the official version from the White House will be that Trump's inauguration had the biggest audience ever. You know, the so called alternative facts.....  <_<

The media keep telling us how popular he is, but he isn't. Many don't want to see him and don't want to hear any more about him, even though he won. That won't be mentioned because Trump and his tech bros own all the press.

ABC got a pathetic 3.7 million viewers while DM nightly news averages 8.9 million viewers a week. Hell the eclipse had 3 times the ratings the inauguration had.

With all those low numbers from CBS and ABC they might as well have shown the soaps and game shows/talk shows.

The only thing that was "nasty in tone" was his blubber mouth on inauguration day, the moments following the Bishop's courageous speech and this message on the alt=right social media platform.

I was at a sh!tty crustpunk bar once getting an after-work beer. One of those sh!tholes where the bartenders clearly hate you. So the bartender and I were ignoring one another when someone sits next to me and he immediately says, "no. get out."

‪And the dude next to me says, "hey i'm not doing anything, i'm a paying customer." and the bartender reaches under the counter for a bat or something and says, "out. now." and the dude leaves, kind of yelling. And he was dressed in a punk uniform, I noticed

‪Anyway, I asked what that was about and the bartender was like, "you didn't see his vest but it was all nazi sh!t. Iron crosses and stuff. You get to recognize them."
And i was like, ohok and he continues.

‪"you have to nip it in the bud immediately. These guys come in and it's always a nice, polite one. And you serve them because you don't want to cause a scene. And then they become a regular and after awhile they bring a friend. And that dude is cool too."

‪And then THEY bring friends and the friends bring friends and they stop being cool and then you realize, oh sh!t, this is a Nazi bar now. And it's too late because they're entrenched and if you try to kick them out, they cause a PROBLEM. So you have to shut them down.

‪And i was like, 'oh damn.' and he said "yeah, you have to ignore their reasonable arguments because their end goal is to be terrible, awful people."
And then he went back to ignoring me. But I haven't forgotten that at all.

U.S. society (and a few other countries, too, maybe? ) nowadays:
the juxtaposition of
Elon Musk making the nazi salute at the Inauguration event,
and the sane gracious Bishop Mariann Budde speaking truth to power.

And, she was politically correct (literally) & liturgically correct & to top that she's a dead ringer for Kate McKinnon. She's win-win-win!

It IS sad, but I'm afraid reactions like his is something we'll all have to get used to.  The majority of voters betrayed many, many people when they allowed him back into the WH.  Anger like Fanone's isn't going away anytime soon.

Do you all think Carrie Underwood will suffer a large backlash for performing for Trump? On a side note... It just demonstrates how bereft of talent the music business is today, when someone sings "America The Beautiful" (Not a hard song to sing) Acapella, and in tune, and it's being hailed as some kind of extraordinary feat of amazing talent.

The AI bots and the paid media are doing this yes.
