I think that's just realistic. People who struggle with student loans are also some of the most vulnerable to inflation. I worry about people who have huge rent bills. How are they going to feed their kids when their wages are garnished and SNAP is harder to get? Maybe less disposable income in the economy will bring down inflation rates along with interest rates. We'll find out soon enough.

I do wonder what's going to happen on the small business front. Are we all going to have to bring along cards identifying our sexuality, gender, race, religion and hope we are among the group to be served at any given establishment? I'm exaggerating, but this decision was so stupid and unnecessary.

There’s a really fine line between consumer spending decreasing enough to bring down interest rates (how many people will actually be in a position to make those big ticket purchases that usually benefit from lower rates, is another question) and consumer spending being so low that businesses can’t expand or they must layoff workers due to cost cutting measures as a result, putting the economy in recession. Then there’s the aspect of some food prices still being elevated. I think there will be many industries affected by cutbacks in spending.

Biden mentioned that the GOP is still trying to find ways to make their trillion dollars tax cuts for the wealthy permanent, even though they have yet to actually pay for themselves. At least there would be a higher likelihood that student loan debt forgiveness would have paid for itself in consumer spending and greater entrepreneurship.

Now the Supreme Court is going to deliberate on a Second Amendment ruling involving guns in a domestic violence case. I don’t have much hope that this ruling will be conscientious either.

I was wondering when some Democrats would start playing this game again, because it's always been a vocal element in the party (it's just that starting in the '10s that element was slowly minimized). The '90s greatest hits tour being workshopped on the very same day that Ozempic Ron's grasping wife rolls out a Moms for Liberty ad that is a clarion call for every type of violent transphobia and homophobia out there just makes this sting even more. If they want people to feed into the grifters who spend all their time telling people to stay home rather than vote for Democrats, this is certainly one way to do it.

This is the same line that many dead end Bernie sycophants took in 2019 and 2020 when they kept belittling people who ever questioned Bernie's passivity on social issues (or him going on Rogan).

Oy, Marjorie Taylor Green and her ex-friends at the House Freedom Caucus can't understand Twitter, and they were already warned about AI from the creator of ChatGPT, imagine them trying to hold a hearing on AI and its effects on employment?

Even ChatGPT's own servers couldn't write a script more absurd than those fools trying to figure out regulations.

Nate Hochman, who received exquisitely tailored profiles from the likes of New Republic and wrote a big New York Times piece insisting Republicans were now the party of Barstool, has been dumped by the frilly fascist's campaign due to mass layoffs, and also, maybe, possibly, making and sending out anti-Semetic imagery.

These figures keep getting laundered in the press but they can never hide who they are.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
