I am surprised Hickland has still been in the opening. Hickland went off contract in May of 2005. She has not been on contract in almost four years. She was on contract from 1998-2005. The last three years on recurring but now she is off the show. She is still recurring but CH has stated there are absolutely no plans to bring back Lindsay anytime soon. The character of Lindsay IMO ran her course, Ron does not know what to do with Catherine. My dream is Cat lands another soap in some capacity.

As far as we know, yes.......but why? Layla has no story, no family......just pops up occassionally to offer advice to friends.

As was said with Lindsay/CH, the character has run her course and RC has no idea what to do with her.

I like Chah-li and I'd like to see viki spend the rest of herlife with him. I mean, ANOTHER Viki romance after this one??

I found Dorian annoying today, and that's saying a LOT coming from a hardcore Dorian fan like me. I miss DID era Dorian, she was the best.

Its too bad that she and MEK recently went through a divorce, bc I wouldnt mind seeing ABC do a Y&R/B&B Ashley Abbot thing here and move Lindsay over to AMC. She'd be great paired up against Adam or David. Lindsay could have some potential with a whole new cast of characters to interact with. They could have her go over there to run Stuart's gallery (does he even still have it?) and she can cross paths with Adam that way. She'd make a great rival for Krystal and I can see her as a frenemy to Erica

IMO, they should just drop Layla, bc like you showed, she doesnt serve a purpose.

Wow what good episode today was. It actually reminded me alot of Claire Labine's tenure on GH, well how she used to write the Q's. Out of chaos and dysfunction, in the end you get family and togetherness. Actually alot of RC's writing reminds me of Claire's time on GH esp his need to infuse humor into the show.

I love that Viki hasnt gone to visit Todd yet. Its been known for a few days what he did now. She was right near him in the hospital when he nearly beaten to death and she didnt even check up on him. I really wish we had seen her reaction to what Todd did to Marty, but Im glad she at least doesnt seem too interested and is living her own life and dealing with her kids rather than running to his side.

No. He listed those with new shots and it included Marcie and Rex. Michael and Charlie of course were new additions as well

I love that as well, and I am waiting for her to throw him out of her life for what he did, to me it's about time. I know that eventually she'll forgive him, she always does, but I think it is high time she threw the book at him for his deeds to hurt others.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
