Should we be scared for Starr? The girl's father is a psychopath and his sister and aunt are both crazies with DID. And then theres her mother side. Her great grandmother was insane and her grand aunts Melinda and Addie have spent most of their adult lives in mental facilities. Her mom Blair and cousin Kelly both have mental breakdowns when their marriages fell apart and her cousin Cassie had 2 nervous nervous breakdowns. If I was Blair I would get that child seeing a shrink ASAP after everythign thats happened recently. Better to take NO chances of her ending up like the rest of her crazy family.

Loving the John/Marty stuff but ME needs to step up his acting. Its really bothering me that TPTB are trying to sell them as a genuine love story but ME's acting choices is just plain flat. John is too emotionless and doenst expreess much happiness and joy over having Marty alive. He seems nonchalant about Blair. You cant have a successful triangle when the middle party doesnt seem too interested in either party.

I thought that was one flaw in the original story bc there is ALWAYS more alters. There never was just Tess. I wont be surprised if soon we meet Celeste, Caress, Mess, damn there arent that many names/words that rhyme with Jess...lol

Viki is a sexual abuse survivor, and let's just say she's about to take the news about Todd really badly. I can see why; in her mind it is the ultimate example of how Victor Lord's evil is inescapable. I can see her shooting him to try and put them out of his misery.

I could care less about the new opening pictures/graphics

This show needs a new theme song and totally revamped opening.

OLTL has the cheapest, tackiest, dumbest opening and theme song of all the soaps.

I would like to see a classy, FILMED, not videotaped opening with a theme song worthy of the show.

The opening is like a gateway to the show's theme, look, identity- and OLTL's falls flat.

The last time the show had a good opening was 1995 or so with Gottlieb's "Contact Lens commercial" opening.

It was at least classy with filmed shots. Videotape is cheap cheap cheap.

OMG, Rover, you don't mean the champagne popping opening, do you? That one was SO generic. Nice music, but lousy visuals. PEE-YEW!!

I liked the opening that debuted in October 1995 and aired until 2004 - same theme music as today, but with a bit more of a "rock" edge. Good visuals, too.

But, I do agree with you that this entire current opening has got to go!

LOL@ the "contact lens commercial" opening! I will say, I was eager for a new one and I desperately missed the Peabo one, but I did not hate the champagne open. It was very pretty (filmed! RTR :P ), and the music was quite lush, full orchestration. It shames the current open. AND, back then when we actually had closing credits, the closing theme was GREAT over the billowing satin, very dark and sexy and totally in tune with how Llanview "felt" back then.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
