Great episode! :) Agnes is fantastic

I have to say, I'm surprised they didn't at least have Kendall appear in a dream to Zach, since she attended the party for the episode. That surprised me.

I understand why they left out Ryan and co., since they aren't in Pine Valley and their storyline is really separate. But I loved not seeing them! :)

Yay for Ruth and Opal! I'm bummed and worried about the lack of Palmer.

As for the voiceover at the end, I LOVED who they picked to say it, but felt Jack should have had a verse. He's been on longer than Darnell, though I know they show values him least of all the veterans. He's in the opening for what, a second, and Darnell gets two clips?

Jack did get to read the News Paper story at the start of the show with Opal. Plus they wnated to showcase each family so it made sense for Jack not to do it.

For the first time since McTavish took a ratchet to this show, I felt that it actually had a heart and soul. Very well done episode today. Who knew we would be seeing an episode like this under the reigns of Chuck Pratt

Today was one of the best shows that AMC has had in a long time. Great use of the moment of silence to get all of the families together. I loved that Eileen's dedication was right at the beginning. Sometimes they seem like an afterthought when a memorandum is tagged on the end. The kids are beautiful. Great episode.

I turned it on a little late, but was there a Phoebe dedication, too, or was that just another picture of Myrtle?

It made sense for Erica to do it and she should have that honor because she has been a cast member since day one. I was glad Jack read the part in the newspaper and the K/M/S family being together (for the most part) reconnecting was what meant the most, IMO. :P

Still see David is using sex to get women and using them. Was Amanda drugged or drunk? That's usually when he preys on them. Some things never do change do they? <_<

She WAS drunk and she wanted him. He told her he isn't going to take advantage of her when she is drunk! He says he isn't like that! Then later she wasn't drunk then they had sex. Later on she went to BJ's and got drunk again.

He isn't like that?:lol::lol::lol: I'm surprised lightening didn't stike him right in his rapist mouth.

Let's see..He blackmailed Gillian into having sex with him so she could get money to bail Ryan out

He had sex with Erica while she was drugged with the concoction HE made not knowing if it was dangerous or not and having sex with her when she couldn't make a conscious choice if she wanted the pig or not. She clearly was repulsed when she woke up later and couldn't wait to get away from him to wash the stink off.

Did he have sex with Maria when she was drugged too?" I don't remember but I wouldn't be surprised.

At least he waited for Amanda to sober up. Too bad so many women weren't allowed this consideration.. I know he is popular but I will never understand why when he is pondscum.

I usually don't like fantasy in soaps and my dislike of nostalgia is well-documented here but I really enjoyed this ep. I'll admit that I choked up.

They did a really good job of honoring the milestone AND keeping the stories moving. My only issue with the reading of the poem is that I wish Debbie Morgan had been given a verse. But as somebody who fell in love with Jesse and Angie (and Greg and Jenny) it did my ebony heart good to see Darnell in the mix right next to his pal Tad.

I hope someday soon somebody does an interview with Agnes Nixon where we get to learn what she thinks of things. Perhaps it'll be one of those interviews that will only be released after she leaves us but she needs to go on record.

Wow, that was just amazing!

I loved how the vets were prominently featured in this episode and all the families at the end. I just finished watching and I'm still wiping away the tears. Pine Valley can rise from the ashes!

Agnes Nixon

I loved that opening "In Memory Of..." for Myrtle. Love seeing all the vets: Ruth, Joe, Opal...and the older generations: Erica, Adam, Jack, Jesse, Angie, David, Tad, Krystal.

Zach crying really got to me too.

I agree. Another awesome episode of AMC. AMC has really improved greatly. Chuck Pratt has really captured the old AMC.

Best episode in ages. The last scene was beautiful.

Though I have to complain about this Colby, she's awful, so wooden and vacant.

ITA Darn this Colby SUCKS!

I totally disagree about Brianne Moncrief as Colby. I think she's an improvement over Ambyr Childers, whom I did like and was bummed about being axed.

I thought about that, but then what would or could you pick from 10,000 episodes? Flashbacks wouldn't necessarily make sense since it isn't about 1-2 characters and their history. Ya know?

Plus we'll get plenty of good flashbacks for Myrtle's funeral!
