Today was one of the best shows that AMC has had in a long time. Great use of the moment of silence to get all of the families together. I loved that Eileen's dedication was right at the beginning. Sometimes they seem like an afterthought when a memorandum is tagged on the end. The kids are beautiful. Great episode.

He isn't like that?:lol::lol::lol: I'm surprised lightening didn't stike him right in his rapist mouth.

Let's see..He blackmailed Gillian into having sex with him so she could get money to bail Ryan out

He had sex with Erica while she was drugged with the concoction HE made not knowing if it was dangerous or not and having sex with her when she couldn't make a conscious choice if she wanted the pig or not. She clearly was repulsed when she woke up later and couldn't wait to get away from him to wash the stink off.

Did he have sex with Maria when she was drugged too?" I don't remember but I wouldn't be surprised.

At least he waited for Amanda to sober up. Too bad so many women weren't allowed this consideration.. I know he is popular but I will never understand why when he is pondscum.

I usually don't like fantasy in soaps and my dislike of nostalgia is well-documented here but I really enjoyed this ep. I'll admit that I choked up.

They did a really good job of honoring the milestone AND keeping the stories moving. My only issue with the reading of the poem is that I wish Debbie Morgan had been given a verse. But as somebody who fell in love with Jesse and Angie (and Greg and Jenny) it did my ebony heart good to see Darnell in the mix right next to his pal Tad.

I hope someday soon somebody does an interview with Agnes Nixon where we get to learn what she thinks of things. Perhaps it'll be one of those interviews that will only be released after she leaves us but she needs to go on record.

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
