Yes, I believe it is Mr. Goodart.   His identity is more visable in the opening seconds of the commercial.

That actress looks familiar also.   At first, I thought maybe it was Jennier Harmon, then Kristen Meadows.  I do not think it is either of them, but she still looks familiar.  Can anyone identify her?

Just a reminder for all Edgies, I post an episode of The Edge of Night M-F during the evening on my Youtube page.   We are going to keep them going all the way to the end of the series, and hopefully after there will be some surprises uploaded. From time to time episodes with original ABC commercials will be uploaded.   My episodes are screened on a nightly basis on Sharon (Raven) Gabet's Facebook page every weeknight, with Sharon joining in and watching the show with us, laughing and having a grand old time.  Recently we were very fortunate to have Larkin Malloy who joined us in the fun. It was an  EON history making event to have Sky and Raven watching the night's show with the fans!   If you love TEON, head over and send Sharon a FB friend request, and join us for a once in a lifetime event of watching the show with one of the big stars of the series!!

Some great Eddie/Poppy/Sid stuff here.  I just started watching after they left. Ray Serra was great ...

Two nurses at 24 minutes giggling about Miles' misfortunes, right before he fights with an orderly played by Jude Cicolella, formerly of AMC, but best known for his role of Mike Novitsky on 24...

There's a woman at 1:17:25 that is Miles' patient that causes him some trouble. Does anyone recognize the actress?  She looks familiar, but I just can't place her...She's Mrs. Everett Cooper...

I have not seen the clip, but I do recall past discussion that an actress who appeared on The Doctors played a woman who caused trouble for Miles.

Billie Allen, who played Ada Chandler #1 when the show was on CBS, has passed away.   I will post an obituary later.

    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.
