Y&R Josh Griffith fired!

Sorry for bringing it up, y'all. Just thought it was weird how back in the nineties and even with Devon, the writers rarely mixed races with the black cast. Sure, there was Olivia and Brad and Neil and Victoria but they were both brief. All until Lily and Daniel and now Lily and Cane.

don't forget Lily & Kevin. I wonder what she was doing in Paris.

EP get rid of CK. I'll throw a party for him or her being smart.

Well, it could happen. The show previously had no EP from May to early October of 2006.

I'd like to see someone on that spot soon. Someone appropriate.

^That was when the show arguably had a stronger production and writing staff though. I can only imagine the anarchy that must be happening right now, and it's sure to impact the show negatively to not have a strong show-runner there.

They better hire the right person, and soon.

ETA: Nelson claims on another board that Paul Rauch isn't even in the running now, so that's good.

That's a huge relief for many fans, if not all of them.

They could be waiting for someone. ;):D

Toups, if you know who it might be, please let us know! ;) I'm dying out of curiosity.

If Carruthers goes to Y&R I'd bet my right arm Phelps will move to AMC, and I do not want that at all.

I doubt it's Julie, isn't her contract with ABC up for renewal in the fall? Frons wouldn't let her go just like that.

Oh, and AMC can keep her, she doesn't need to drive YET ANOTHER show to the bottom of the ratings.

My guess is they're still looking. I don't know why with both David Shaughnessy and John F. Smith across the hall affiliated with sister-soap, B&B.

I'd at least like to think they'd make Shaughnessy an offer.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - the last two years have proven that Billy Bell and Steve Kent have no interest in going back to the past. Why? I have no idea. Seems like a no-brainer to me. But I'm pretty sure the EP that ends up there won't be affiliated with Y&R from years past at all. They're not exactly trying to get back to basics over there, from what I can tell.

Even though hiring others proved to be a mistake?

I agree with the post, but there is still a part of me hoping....

You'd think they'd learn, wouldn't you?

Don't get me wrong. I hope they prove I don't have the first clue what I'm talking about.
