I'm not mad at Y&R. There are a lot of good stories that are going on right now, it just seems they are spending an awful lot of time on Cane/Lily and I just don't get them AT ALL. They have no chemistry together, no rooting value - at least for me.

IA with all of this.

And uh.....these Ashram "brownie" scenes are very entertaining. LOL! Did everyone have some of the brownies????:lol::lol:

Well, I had enough of Jack for awhile, but I still can take it. He's been "good" for a long time, it's time to get the real Jack back. We'll see how it will evolve.

And we got Jeff/Gloria on backburned last month, but I'm suspecting it might be only the vacation. I wish they'd use them more as comic relief, and be constantly on a backburner.

Other than the barf-inducing Lane scenes, Friday's episode wasn't bad. But this asinine plot point to have Cane "marry" Chloe is so over. I wish that the writers were using a little more imagination with the Chloe pregnancy story. Maybe that's what we will see later on....

The Newman sibling rivalry has some heat. I hope they keep this going for awhile. It's interesting they made Victoria the CEO in Victor's absence.

I liked the way that Michael was "introduced" to his father. That should be interesting to watch play out as well.

So overall, I'm not disliking the show. Just a certain story that's boring and uninspired....

Oh, man, DeeeDee. I would love for you to elaborate on that!

In fairness, I thought the Lane flashbacks were actually quite effective! Don't y'all hit me at once, but DG was working his little heart out to smoulder. CK got saddled with the "I haven't been with anybody since Daniel" line which made me cringe because, in soap-speak, that is tantamount to "I haven't been with any man. Please be gentle with little ole me!" It made me wonder if CK is as much at fault as the writing which persists in presenting Lily as the fragile flower her very name suggests -- untouchable, virginal. Cricket.

But then they showed her actual scenes with Devon and Neil and I was sorely disappointed. Maybe I'm just a drama queen, but I wish the director had counselled CK to show tears or something. I mean, suppose you are in love with chivalry personified. He's rich, good-looking and you are both actively making plans for your shared future. Heck, you have even moved in to a luxury condo together. Then, it turns out he may have inadvertently got another girl pregnant when drunk. Not only do you have to leave this supposedly amazing condo (!), but you just got your heart stomped on and your trust in the love of your life irretriveably broken. Even if it had been my decision to leave, I would be sobbing big-time. I would be in the midst of a mourning/grieving period where even somebody mentioning his name to me would be very raw and painful. I did not see this from Lily on Friday.

^^ I think the writers want us to assume that Lily and Cane are deeply in love. At least, that was the way it was being presented. So, some kind of emotion that showed that Lily actually gave a damn would have been nice.

ITA about Daniel's porn s/l. There was no emotion shown when that relationship ended, either. Daniel and Amber showed more emotion when they broke up and they were together for how long??? I totally bought it, though.
